According to a post on Corvette Forum via Car and Driver, a Georgia man recently won himself a brand-new Corvette playing a scratch-ff game from the lottery. Making this win even sweeter is the fact that he also won $250,000 in the process. As a result, the winner had to option a specific C8 to claim the available prize.

How do you win a 2021 Chevy Corvette and $250,000?

Winning a 2021 Chevy Corvette is surprisingly simple, especially in the case of one Georgia man. According to Car and Driver, the man in question played a local scratch-off game that featured a brand-new Corvette and $250,000 in cash as its top prize. Car and Driver report that the winning ticket was sold and claimed sometime in December 2020. The mid-engined supercar’s value also couldn’t exceed $107,000, an easy feat since the car has a sub-$60,000 base price.

Car and Driver that the Georgia man chose to order a 2021 Chevy Corvette with the 2LT trim level and the Z51 package, which adds extra performance goodies. In total, this car should cost a hair over $80,000. Car and Driver report that the man will likely get over $26,000 back in extra cash given the car’s price. Upon hearing this, it got us thinking of how we might option a C8 of our own, so let’s dive into some of the available options.

What options can I get for the 2021 Corvette?

If you also happen to win a free brand-new 2021 Chevy Corvette, you have a variety of options available to you. For starters you’ll have to chose between a coupe which starts at $59,995 or a convertible which starts at $67,495. Fortunately for the indecisive buyer, there are only three trim levels available. The base model is the 1LT.

Opt for the 2LT, and your base price increases to $67,295 for the coupe and $74,295 for the convertible. It is worth noting that despite the higher trim level, the powertrain remains unchanged. The range-topping option available for the 2021 Chevy Corvette is the 3LT, which costs $71,945 for the coupe and $78,945 for the convertible.

Once you’ve selected your trim level, you can choose between the various available packages. However, the most important of all is the Z51 Performance Package for $5,995. For this, you get an electronic limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes, and a performance exhaust, to name a few. As a result, if you want the best of your Corvette, you’ll need the Z51. From there, you have various color, wheel, and tire options available. You can even give your mid-engined sports car a touch of carbon fiber.

If you’re looking at buying a 2021 Chevy Corvette for yourself, chances are you’ll have to wait. You could easily have one now if you are willing to pay up some of the ridiculous markups in dealerships across the U.S. According to Car and Driver, you’ll likely have to wait until the third quarter of 2021 if you want to score a mid-engined sports car at the MSRP. This assumes that there aren’t any additional delays to potentially slow down the process even more.
