The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is coming for the top spot

Hyundai has revealed its upcoming electric car, and it’s nothing short of stunning. Like the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6 has a distinct design that differentiates it from other electric cars in its segment. It features active air flaps and a low nose.

The Ioniq 6’s character lines give the EV a futuristic feel. Its interior uses quality sustainable materials that make the cabin feel just as modern as its exterior. The electric car features a massive 12.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster.

According to Endgadget, the Ioniq 6 will make its world premiere in July. Hopefully, Hyundai will provide a full breakdown of its specs in July as well. If the Ioniq 6 is anything like the Ioniq 5 electric SUV, it should have at least 220 miles of driving range. It could potentially have a 303-mile max driving range.

The Ioniq 6 is likely to include plenty of standard tech and advanced driver assistance and safety features at higher trim levels. Its final trim level should provide a luxury driving experience at a relatively affordable price for its vehicle segment.

The Tesla Model 3 needs a rival

The Tesla Model 3 has become the quintessential electric car over the last few years. It has outsold every other vehicle in its segment by leaps and bounds. Unlike the Tesla Model Y, the Model 3 is still undisputed in the eyes of gearheads and the general public, at least in the American market.

Car and Driver considers Polestar’s Polestar 2 the only close second to the electric sedan. The Model 3 needs a rival so Tesla can be forced to make the electric vehicle even more competitive. Competition leads to innovation and competitive pricing for consumers.

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 will likely be much cheaper than the base model Tesla Model 3, but its final trim level should be able to compete with Tesla’s popular electric car.

Will the Hyundai Ioniq 6 outshine the Tesla Model 3?
