While the Tucson earned a score of 75 out of 100 in its road test, Consumer Reports gave the Honda CR-V a score of 82 out of 100.

And if you’re after a vehicle that holds its value? The Honda CR-V is still a better alternative to the Hyundai Tucson. In fact, according to CarEdge, the Honda CR-V retains its value better than the Tucson. CarEdge reports that, unfortunately for the Tucson, it will depreciate 50% after five years. That gives it a five-year resale value of $14,881. On the other hand, the Honda CR-V will depreciate 41% after five years and will have a five-year resale value of $20,470.

The Hyundai Kona is a cheaper alternative to the Hyundai Tucson

The Hyundai Tucson isn’t the only compact SUV that Hyundai offers.
