One returning extra is the (RAM)RED Edition, originally launched for the 2022 model year. Specs and features of the 2023 Ram 1500

There is some serious wow factor with the 2023 Ram 1500. It starts with a variety of engine options to ensure you have the power and performance you need to get the job done. Edmunds outlines the details, including your choice between the 3.6-liter V6 with 305 horsepower, the 5.7-liter V8 with 395 hp, the 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel with 260 hp, or the supercharged 6.2-liter V8, capable of harnessing 702 horses.

You can also select from a massive variety of trims and amenities, including the Tradesman, the Tradesman HFT, the Big Horn, the classic Laramie, the Rebel, the Longhorn and Limited Longhorn, the Limited, and the top-billed TRX. Choose your configuration of a quad cab or crew cab, and bed lengths of 5 feet 7 inches or 6 feet 4 inches, as Stellantis North America confirms. 

Additionally, if you need to tow or haul, the Ram 1500 is up for any challenge. Outfitted with a diesel or V8 engine, these pickups can pull over 11,000 pounds. Mopar Insiders shares even more impressive metrics claiming most Ram 1500s will hit a towing capacity of 12,750 pounds with a 2,300-pound payload.

Inside the 2023 Ram 1500 are luxury interior components, a Uconnect 5 system, and an Alexa-integrated 12-inch touchscreen. The interior is more than spacious, with second-row passengers capable of reclining 8 degrees. Additionally, this new Ram 1500 brings brilliant engineering for best-in-class storage.

The 2023 Ram 1500 (RAM)RED Edition is back for its second year for the 2023 model year. You’ll get a step up in amenities from the Night Edition Package, with its continued red, R-A-M grille and badging on the doors. New for 2023, the (RAM)RED Edition also offers a UV-C glove box light feature, engaged with the touch of a button. Once engaged, a UV light will begin a three-minute hygiene cycle that kills any unwanted bacteria.

Ram Trucks has partnered with (RED) to help the Global Fund to fight health emergencies. Every 2022 and 2023 Ram Limited (RAM)RED Edition pickup is part of this effort. The family of Ram, Jeep, and FIAT brands pledges to commit a minimum of $4 million to help fund life-saving programs.

If you’re still not excited about this thrilling new Ram 1500, check out some of the other updates anticipated for 2023. There will be a newly available Ram 1500 Limited Elite Edition, for starters, featuring a multi-function and locking tailgate, tailgate ajar warning, deployable bed step, and adjustable cargo dividers. This Limited Elite Edition brings all things elite, too, including heated and ventilated seats, a suede headliner, a heated steering wheel, and a bright pedal kit.

Also available will be a 12-inch, frameless digital gauge cluster with almost two dozen menus. It will also provide an analog preference and allows drivers to build profiles of the metrics they view most. Additionally, Ram 1500 models with the 12-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen will include Emergency Vehicle Alert Systems.
