What’s All Included in the New 2024 Buick Encore GX Avenir Trim Level?
The Buick Encore GX is back for the 2024 model year, and this year, it is bringing a brand new trim level to the lineup. The Avenir trim, Buick’s summit trim level, is making its way to the popular Encore GX with some exclusive features. However, is this new Avenir trim level worth the price? Here is everything you need to know about the 2024 Buick Encore GX and what you can expect out of the new Encore GX Avenir.
The entry-level 2024 Buick Encore GX
The 2024 Buick Encore GX starts at $26,895 MSRP for the base Preferred model, according to Buick. This model comes standard with a GM Ecotec 1.2-liter engine paired with a CVT transmission. This engine and transmission pairing makes around 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, according to Edmunds. This base model comes standard with 18-inch wheels, keyless entry and start, an 11-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument panel, wireless Apple and Andirod smartphone connectivity, as well as forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane keep assist, and blind spot monitoring.
Moving up from the base model, the Buick Encore GX is the Sport Touring model, which starts at $28,095 MSRP. This Sport Touring trim level ditches the 1.2-liter engine from the base model and replaces it with a 1.3-liter engine, which produces 155 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque. The 18-inch bright silver wheels have been replaced with 18-inch glass black aluminum wheels, and a high gloss black Sport Touring grille is now found in the front fascia. Synthetic leather is another upgrade found in the interior of the Sport Touring model that is not found in the base model.
Everything included in the Encore GX Avenir trim
Regarding subcompact crossover SUV luxury, the 2024 Buick Encore GX Avenir is looking to top the charts. The Encore GX Avenir starts at $33,195 MSRP, and with this price jump from the Sport Touring comes a load of brand-new features. Under the hood, the Avenir is the same as the Sport Touring model, but in the interior, the Avenir earns its name with dual-zone climate control, a heated steering wheel, power heated front seats, leather upholstery, a household-style power outlet, and more. For the exterior, exclusive Avenir badges can be found, along with upgraded 19-inch wheels.
When it comes to optional add-on features, the Encore GX Avenir is available with adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, a wireless charging pad for smartphones, a sunroof, a hands-free liftgate, and an upgraded Bose audio system. The Encore GX Avenir is in a league of its own. The subcompact crossover SUV market is largely forgotten in the American marketplace, with many companies only investing luxury features into their larger vehicles. With Buick putting so many desirable features into a small car like the Encore GX, it seems like the automaker is going to have a solid pathway to success with the 2024 Buick Encore GX Avenir if the company can market it correctly and attract a young professional consumer base.
