The 2023 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro price starts at $76,065. This is the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), so it doesn’t include the $1,495 destination fee or dealership markups. Currently, the Sequoia is selling for about $2,500 above MSRP.
Also, the entry-level Sequoia starts at $58,365, so it’s roughly $17,700 to upgrade to all the off-roading bells and whistles. The 2023 Ford Expedition Timberline begins at around $71,400, and the Jeep Wagoneer Series III rings in at $71,220.
Each Sequioa is powered by the iFORCE Max Hybrid powertrain. The setup pairs a 3.5-liter V6 engine with an electric motor to crank out 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. The Sequoia TRD Pro doesn’t have any extra power.
What comes with the 2023 Sequoia TRD Pro?
The 2023 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro starts with standard four-wheel drive and has an extra 0.5 inch of ground clearance, bringing it up to 9.1 inches. It rides on 18-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires.
A quarter-inch thick aluminum TRD skidplate protects the undercarriage in the front. It also has a front TRD anti-roll ball and an electronic locking differential in the rear. Plus, it features 2.5-inch Fox internal bypass shocks with rear remote reservoirs.
The black grille with integrated amber lights, dual exhaust, and badging provides a unique look. The interior features red synthetic leather upholstery, a TRD steering wheel, a red start button, and a heritage Toyota badge.
There are Multi-Terrain select driving modes for deep snow, sand, mud, and dirt. You can also access crawl control, which acts as off-roading cruise control
The Sequoia TRD Pro has a 23.0-degree approach angle and a 20.0-degree departure angle. This could be better for avoiding scrapes and impacts.
It has a 22.3-foot turning radius, which is pretty good. It’s 79.70 inches wide and 205.10 inches long with a weight of 6,150 lbs. It’s a hefty beast, but trail cameras provide plenty of visibility, and the parking sensors are helpful.
Is the 2023 Sequoia TRD Pro comfortable?
Most drivers will probably spend time with the 2023 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro on the pavement, and it’s well-appointed with luxury features. You get a panoramic sunroof, heated/ventilated seats, and a heated steering wheel.
The stiffer suspension and Fox shocks contribute to a firmer ride quality. Impacts in the road are noticeable, but larger impacts are well-controlled while off-roading. Also, the interior is pretty loud, with tons of wind, road, and engine noise.
The Sequoia TRD Pro is worth it if you plan to spend most of your time off-roading. However, it’s pretty steep and limits comfort. Also, most of the hardware can be added with the TRD Pro package at a more affordable price.
