Is the 2021 Ram 1500 a good truck? 

Yes, the 2021 Ram 1500 is a great truck. Competitors such as the Ford F-150 and Chevy Silverado can’t compete with its superior ride quality. The Ram 1500 got an interior redesign in 2019, so competitors have had a few years to catch up, but for some reason can’t. 

Because this truck was totally redesigned in 2019, it doesn’t have many new features for 2021. If you’re wondering what’s new for the 2021 Ram 1500, then it’s hard to ignore the new Ram 1500 TRX. 

However, instead of the high priced, off-roading trim, let’s focus on the daily driver models. It got a new heads up display, adding to the advanced tech. Also, a new digital rearview mirror is available. It transforms from a traditional rearview mirror to a real-time 9.2-inch LCD monitor with a single tap. 

Towing is also improved for the new Ram 1500 thanks to new cameras and controls. You can automatically back up to your trailer by telling your truck where you want it to go. Plus, the new Off-Road pages section in the infotainment system will show you ride height, pitch-and-roll morning, and trailer specifics. 

There is a special Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition that will only be available for one year. It included various exclusives on the inside and out, including a Mountain Brown interior. 

2020 and 2021 Ram features 

The 2021 Ram 1500 is about $100 more for the base model than the 2020 model. You can get started in one for about $32,245. Also, the engines haven’t changed unless you go for the beefy TRX model with 702 hp. 

With the 5.7-liter V8 engine, you get 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. But the towing ratings didn’t increase. When properly equipped, the Ram 1500 can tow up to 12.750 lb. This is more than enough muscle for the average driver, but the Ford F-150 can tow up to 14,000 lb. 

Also, you can still get the 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel engine to take advantage of 260 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. According to Car and Driver, this more power than rivals with diesel engines have to offer. 

Is the new Ram 1500 getting good reviews? 

The 2020 Ram 1500 scored well on a variety of lists for being the best truck. In some cases, it came in second place. The 2021 model is doing well too. It’s in second place on the U.S. News list of best full-size pickup trucks. 

It scores well for having a long list of powerful engines, a roomy interior that provides tons of comfort. Plus, the interior provides a high-quality feel. The cab is quiet, and the ride is very smooth. Also, the infotainment system is straightforward to use. However, the only benefit of upgrading to the 2021 model includes a few new tech features that have been added for convenience.
