Maybe! According to Road Show, the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV was revealed in a new commercial that aired during an NCAA Final Four basketball game. Lebron James was featured driving this boxy beast.
The square vehicle looks pretty close to the Hummer EV pickup truck. It’s pretty close to the new Hummer truck too. It should feature some hardcore off-roading features such as the sideways crab walk to allow it to move from side to side. Also, the extract mode will lift its suspension by several inches to help you get unstuck.
Is the Hummer EV SUV better than the truck?
The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV has the potential to be better than the Hummer truck. It has a shorter wheelbase, meaning it could be better for off-roading. A shorter wheelbase will provide better traction for climbing over obstacles and better departure and break-over angles.
Plus, the Hummer EV SUV has a tight turning radius of 35.4 feet with four-wheel steering equipped. This is about 3 feet less than the Honda Accord. This beast is nimble! Also, this feature comes standard on the 2X, 3X, and Edition 1 models.

A 20 module battery pack should provide an estimated 300 miles of range when your SUV isn’t equipped with the Extreme Off-Road package. But will SUVs have better ranges by then? The Hummer SUV has 803-hp and 11,500 lb-ft of wheel torque, not powertrain torque.
Buckle up. The Hummer EV SUV can accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Its top speed hasn’t been released yet. According to The Verge, the 2022 Hummer EV truck will have a 350-mile range and can accelerate to 60 mph in about 3 seconds.
How much does the Hummer EV SUV cost?
You can get started in the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV for about $105,595. This price is for the Edition 1 model, so pricing for the base model might be cheaper. Adding the Extreme Off-Road pack takes the price up to about $110,595.
The Special Edition 1 EV SUV model comes with 22-inch wheels, assist steps, and floor liners to keep the interior clean. General Motors’ Super Cruise technology is also included for hands-free driving with 200,000 miles of supported roadways and automatic lane changing.
With the Extreme Off-Road pack, you get 18-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch mud-terrain tires, underbody armor playing, rock sliders, a front electronically locking differential, virtual rear lockers, HD ball-spline driveshafts, and UltraVision cameras. They provide 360-degree visibility with even under-body views.
The interior is pretty swanky, too, with a 12.3-inch Driver Information Display and 13.4-inch diagonal infotainment center. The Lunar interior packages include pops of accent colors and protective materials for an upscale and durable performance.
