As we reach the middle of the year many manufacturers are preparing to release 2021 model years, and for Chevrolet, that means the release of the new Trailblazer. The 2021 Chevy Trailblazer follows in the footsteps of the Blazer with its barely improved design, but many fans might be excited to see this once well-loved SUV is making a comeback.

What to expect from the new Trailblazer

The new Trailblazer will be an inexpensive and modern take on the classic Trailblazer we all knew and loved, and it’s getting some features and touches that make the car a strong contender in the SUV market.

The 2021 Trailblazer will have a starting price of around $20,000 and go upwards of around $30,000 with additional options, putting in the same price range as the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and even the Hyundai Santa Fe.

The split body lines and white roof make the car stand out, giving it a sleeker, sportier appearance than many other SUVs. The large LED taillights wrap around the side of the car for a completed appearance that gives this car a stunning look from front to back.

There are several drivetrain variations available among the different trim levels, and some trim levels are also available with all-wheel drive, making them ideal for casual commuting or off-road adventures.

Modern updates to the interior

The interior of the new Trailblazer is unexpectedly luxurious. With a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system even on the base model and a minimal yet efficient section for climate controls, the interior looks both modern and comfortable.

There are several trim levels offered for the new model year that improve features, driving experience, and aesthetics. The cheapest trim level has a more modest front end, but the higher trim levels look even more aggressive.

It will also include all of the newer safety features and technology that you’d hope for, such as forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, and many others.

According to Consumer Reports, the car had an overall pleasant drive quality. The interior is roomy and comfortable, but it isn’t well-insulated from road noise.

Another comment made was in regards to the SUV’s performance. It isn’t the fastest SUV on the market, even with turbocharged setup, but it was overall slow to respond to accelerate.

The new 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer will compete well with the new compact SUVs of its class, but only time will tell how consumers will really feel about it.
