Is the Ford Expedition FX4 Good for Off-Roading?

Is the Ford Expedition FX4 Good For Off-Roading?
Now to go off-roading in the Ford Expedition, you will have to spend some money. The FX4 off-roading package is only available with the Ford Explorer Limited trim, which begins around $72k. To add the FX4 package that will cost an extra $2k.
Now you’re up to about $74k, so this Ford Expedition better have some luxury comfort and the ultimate off-roading capabilities. The Ford Expedition base model begins around $52k, so we hope that the Limited FX4 trim comes with a variety of extras.
What Comes With the Ford Expedition FX4 Package?
The Ford Expedition Limited FX4 is the most premium off-roader in Expedition history. It comes with a 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 engine that provides 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. This build can tow up to 9,200 lb, which is more than any other vehicle in its class. With the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds, this is one fast beast.
The FX4 package includes off-road-tuned shocks. This is all we can find about them. We would love to know more about the suspension. The Ford Raptor has Fox shocks, so maybe the Expedition does too.

You also get seven underbody skid plates to protect the undercarriage, including a sand shield to protect turbocharger intercoolers, steel plates to protect the steering gear, engine, and transfer case, and a full-length guard for the transfer case.
A chin spoiler is beneath the front bumper to improve the approach angle, and chrome-plated runner bars provide protection and allow for passenger convenience. The patented 3.73:1 electronic limited-slip differential and heavy-duty radiator help improve the off-roading experience as well.
