The Kia Telluride is going dark with its new Nightfall Edition. All of the Kia Telluride Nightfall Edition’s black on black tones make it an SUV that Batman would approve of. It will also make people ask if you’re really driving a Kia or not because it’s one bad to the bone look. But does the look make the Kia Telluride worth buying? 

The Kia Telluride Nightfall Edition 

The Kia Telluride Nightfall Edition is on its way and should be here by the end of the summer. Also, it won’t raise the price much. The official price of the Nightfall Edition package hasn’t been announced, but Kia announced that it will be less than $1,300. 

The following trims will have the Nightfall Edition available: 

• EX AWD with the Premium Package 
• SX AWD
• SX with the Premium Package 

This Kia Tulleride package includes a dark mesh grille, black over all the emblems, black roof rails, side window times, skid plates, air duct frames, lower door moldings, and bezels around the lights. The Kia Telluride Nightfall Edition comes with 20” wheels that are, you guessed it, black, with matching lug nuts. 

But, if you aren’t feeling the Nightfall Edition in black, you can pick another color! The exclusive Kia Telluride Nightfall hues include Gravity Grey, Ebony Black,  Snow White Pearl, Everlasting Silver, Sangria, Black Copper, Wolf Grey, and Dark Moss. 

Is the Kia Telluride Nightfall Edition worth buying? 

The Kia Telluride Nightfall Edition is only available on higher trim options. The EX trim starts at $37k, and the SX trim starts around $41k, so you have to be able to afford a luxury SUV for these colorful shades. 

These trim levels don’t include all-wheel-drive, so if you want to face the snow and other slippery conditions, you’ll have to pony up even more cash. However, these higher trims do include the V6 engine.

With the Kia Telluride Nightfall Edition, you will get the 3,8-liter V6 engine that provides 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The Kia Telluride can accelerate from 0 to 60, which is a little slow for a three-row SUV at this price. 

The towing package also includes allowing you to pull up to 5,000 lb. We would like to see the ability to tow around 6k lb or more to compete against rivals, though. 

Kia Telluride Nightfall Edition features 

The Kia Telluride is designed more for comfort than off-roading, which is why it’s praised for having a quiet interior and smooth ride. To upgrade to the Nightfall Edition, you’ll get a trim level with even more creature comforts. 

Enjoy features such as heated and ventilated front seats, wireless charging, tri-zone automatic climate control, a power liftgate, a navigation system, a 10.25” infotainment center, leather power-seats, and more. 

Also, you get a lot of safety features included, such as automatic emergency braking, collision warning, blind-spot detection, rear-cross traffic alert with avoidance, and more. However, these safety features are also included with the base model. 

The Kia Telluride Nightshade Edition seems a bit overpriced unless you want to ride with luxury features. Otherwise, adding all-wheel-drive to the base model will save you a lot of money. We aren’t convinced that this edition is worth it unless you really like the way it looks.
