The low scores don’t stop there, with the 2020 Jeep Wrangler receiving a bad predicted reliability rating of one out of five and a road test score of 36 (out of 100).

On the road test, Consumer Reports found the 2020 Wrangler to be improved, but were disappointed in its “awkward access, excessive wind noise, and rough ride.” The Wrangler scored poorly in areas such as handling, braking, ride/noise, comfort, access, and fuel economy.

Even after receiving the review that the Wrangler is “trucklike compared with other SUVs,” Car and Driver experts still give it their Editors’ Choice stamp of approval. And that may simply be because no other vehicle can compare to the Wrangler.

According to Car and Driver, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler “is what the Jeep brand is all about” and “its off-road capability borders on amazing.”

While Consumer Reports gave the Wrangler low scores in a variety of categories, there are categories in which the new Jeep excelled. The 2020 Jeep Wrangler received average or high scores in categories like acceleration, transmission, headlights, usability, and climate system.

New owners will appreciate the improvements made to the latest Wrangler, especially in terms of styling and off-roading capabilities. The 2020 Jeep Wrangler shares the same original styling as its military-vehicle predecessor, but with all the modern luxury and technology needed to stand out in today’s market.
