Now that the E-Pace is Jaguar’s entry-level vehicle, it’s destined to see an increase in interest. Jaguar isn’t messing with success. The E-Pace already had an athletic yet sophisticated design that demands attention. The 2021 Jaguar E-Pace retains its overall look, but discerning shoppers may notice a few tweaks here and there. 

Jaguar has slightly reworked the crossover’s front end with a stylish mesh grille surrounded by chrome. Meanwhile, the hood has more sculpted lines, highlighting the vehicle’s athleticism. Plus, the E-Pace’s new LED headlights have a sleeker design than the outgoing ones.

The 2021 E-Pace features the same engines as the previous model. However, Jaguar made adjustments to its chassis and driveline to improve the crossover’s performance.

“The new Jaguar E-PACE delivers an engaging and dynamic drive thanks to the latest driveline technologies and chassis settings, which ensure a controlled and comfortable ride,” said Chief Engineer Mike Cross via a Jaguar press release.

Shoppers will find the most significant enhancement inside the E-Pace’s cabin. Jaguar added its latest infotainment system, Pivi Pro, which has its own dedicated power source to provide better functionality. Drivers can access this system via a curved glass, 11.4-inch touchscreen display. It’s compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, you can integrate your Microsoft Outlook or Google calendar with the system.

Finally, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a rearview mirror camera are newly available options for the 2021 Jaguar E-Pace.

Luxury subcompact SUVs exist in a completely different stratosphere than tiny economy crossovers. In other words, these vehicles offer plenty more than the bare essentials.

The 2021 Jaguar E-Pace has a starting MSRP of $40,995. So, what will you be getting for this hefty sum?

The E-Pace has always been perfect for a specific type of driver – those who demand serious performance from their SUV. The E-Pace is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that’s sure to excite. This powerplant is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system to deliver 246 hp.

Meanwhile, the entry-level P250 AWD trim is exceptionally well-equipped. It comes standard with driver-assistance technologies like a 3D surround camera system and a driver drowsiness monitor.

Those seeking even more power can upgrade to the 300 Sport trim level, priced at $49,995. This model has the same engine tuned with mild-hybrid technology to produce 293 hp. Additionally, Jaguar equipped it with an advanced AWD system that distributes torque to the rear wheel that needs it most.

Should you consider buying the 2021 Jaguar E-Pace?

Jaguars are quite expensive, and it’ll cost you quite a bit to get behind the wheel of this subcompact. The 2020 E-Pace didn’t deliver value as well as it should have. However, the 2021 Jaguar E-Pace features some welcome upgrades that help make it a better buy. 

Those who put an emphasis on performance, as well as cutting-edge infotainment, should add this crossover to their wishlist.
