This automaker undoubtedly has something for you regardless of your budget, from the entry-luxury to the highest trim level. Looking at their product range, they’ve got a few outstanding examples that deliver the most value for your dollar.

Under $20K-$25K

3 Series – $15,000 to $25,000

The BMW 3 Series offers a lot of options, even a convertible. You can have four or six-cylinder engines, automatic or manual transmission, rear, or all-wheel drive. You can get a great deal on a 3 Series by shopping around the six years old mark. If your budget is closer to $25k, you can search for a previous model just a couple of years old. 

i3 – $16,000 to $24,000

The buyer looking for both the efficiency of a hybrid and luxury will be pleased with the BMW i3. The exterior is lively and unique. Its design is a reflection of the fun of driving this compact, a quality that can be rare in the hybrid world. You’ll only have to look a few years back to find plenty of i3s at this price.

Under $25K-$30K

Z4 – $20,000 – $30,000

This soft-top roadster is perfect for the person doing life solo or looking for a fun second car. The Z4 is fun to drive and will bring a smile with each and every mile. Look for a Z4 around five years old. You’ll turn heads everywhere you go. 

Under $30K-$35K

X3 – $24,000 to $34,000

The stylish, easily identifiable design of the X3 is also a practical everyday driver. While it has considerably more cargo space than the 3 series, the X3 is still lovely to drive, provides excellent visibility and a range of powerful drivetrains even with all-wheel drive. A two-year-old X3 with AWD can easily be found at this price point.

Under $40K

X5 – $30,000 to $40,000

With beautiful design and a familiar mid-size body style, it’s no surprise the X5 is successful in sales. The X5 offers AWD, all leather interior, and a towing capacity of 6,600 pounds. To stay in this price bracket, look for an X5 that is a few years old and a bit higher in miles. 

If you are hesitant to shop a used model, it will ease your mind to know BMW reliability is often above average. It is common to see a large amount of older models still on the highways. As with any major purchase, always do your research. Even check out the 2020 BMW models for comparison. Your dealer may also have something within the BMW group that is an even better deal for your dollar.
