You can get started in a Grand Cherokee L for $38,085. The price of a 2021 Grand Cherokee is $33,885. Pricing for the 2022 model is expected to increase by a few thousand. So, it’ll be about $3,000 to $5,000 more for that extra row. 

Also, the Grand Cherokee L seats up to seven people. If you opt for captain’s chairs in the second row, then you can seat up to six people. This means that the third row can accommodate two passengers. Depending on which configuration you chose, it could only provide one extra spot. 

What are the Grand Cherokee L advantages? 

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L offers more cargo space. There are 17.2 cubic feet behind the third row. If you fold those seats flat then, you can access up to 46.9 cubes behind the second row. Also, there are 84.6 cubes total.

Plus, the Grand Cherokee offers a 6.4-liter V8 engine with 475 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. You can upgrade to the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 for 707 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, the Cherokee L can tow up to 7,200 lbs. This is the same amount that the regular Grand Cherokee can tow. 

Does the 2021 Cherokee L have better features? 

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L has a brand new exterior look and refreshed interior. The 2021 Grand Cherokee retains the older look. However, the 2022 model has a matching exterior and is expected to gain the same interior enhancements. 

You get a 7.0-inch infotainment system with the regular Grand Cherokee, but the Grand Cherokee L offers a 10.1-inch unit. Both options come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. But the Jeep Grand Cherokee L provides wireless connectivity and in-dash navigation with real-time traffic and weather updates. 

The new Grand Cherokee L includes standard safety features such as standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection. You also get lane departure warning with lane-keeping assistance and standard adaptive cruise control. 

So the larger Grand Cherokee L offers a bit more space, tech, and luxury. These features aren’t on the 2021 Grand Cherokee but will most likely come with the refreshed 2022 model. If you need the extra room, then it’s worth it.
