Jeep Sells Some Awesome Aftermarket Accessories for the Gladiator
The iconic Jeep brand has been making some of the most capable, functional, and cool vehicles for many decades. And its new Gladiator might just be the most capable yet. It’s the perfect blend of the Jeep Wrangler’s off-road capability and a pickup truck’s functionality, quickly becoming one of the most popular midsize trucks of the year. But with the help of FCA’s in-house Mopar division, the Gladiator can now be accessorized into the coolest vehicle on, and off, the road.
Jeep Gladiator + Mopar
In November of 2018, Jeep and Mopar announced plans to create a “portfolio of more than 200 parts and accessories available to enhance the all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator,” according to Mopar. Mopar created an entire menu of products to customize the Jeep Gladiator, assisting Jeep in its goal of producing the “most capable midsize truck ever.” Mopar put its accessories on display at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, where it showcased a Mopar-modified Jeep Gladiator Rubicon in all its glory.
Jeep understands that its buyers live unique lives and need a capable vehicle that also stands out. Steve Beahm of FCA North America states that its collaboration with Mopar brings together a “full selection of parts and accessories for owners to personalize the all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator to fit their individual lifestyles,” “giving owners what they need to enhance the most capable midsize truck ever.”
A ‘Moparized’ Jeep Gladiator Rubicon
Mopar’s Gladiator accessories can be added in during your initial purchase or bought as aftermarket accessories, meaning there are no limits to the amount of Mopar-personalizing you can do on your Gladiator. But Jeep and Mopar also created some “Moparized” Jeep Gladiator Rubicons, like the one displayed at the L.A. Auto Show, to help showcase the potential of these new accessories.
The experts at MotorTrend got to drive one of these 2020 Jeep Gladiator Mopar editions at the FCA’s What’s New event, where they had fun experiencing the Mopar touch. The “Moparized” Jeep Gladiator Rubicon came equipped with only a small percentage of parts and accessories available, like a 2.0-inch lift for more ground clearance and 35-inch all-terrain tires. MotorTrend experts found that the Mopar accessories “contribute to the added capability” of the Gladiator. Adding Mopar accessories to the Jeep Gladiator makes it more capable and durable than ever before, allowing MotorTrend experts to tackle any obstacle on the course.
More than 200 accessories
Owners of the new Jeep Gladiator can personalize it by choosing from a wide range of Mopar products. Not every Mopar Gladiator accessory is available currently, though the majority have been available since the 2020 Jeep Gladiator launched earlier in 2019. But the entire menu of 200-plus Mopar accessories will be tailor-made for the Gladiator and will include a slew of active-lifestyle, truck-capable accessories. According to Mopar’s website, Gladiator-specific accessories are being made in just about every category, including the following:
- Audio/video/electronics
- Carrier/cargo hauling
- Exterior
- Interior
- Lifestyle/off-road
- Lighting/electrical
- Performance
- Vehicle care
As stated above, you can “Moparize” your Gladiator with two inches more ground clearance and giant, all-terrain tires. But that’s not all you can get with Mopar’s long list of accessories. You can equip your Gladiator with Mopar tube doors, sill plates, thicker rock rails, and a mesh sun cover to protect passengers on your open-air drive. There is also a Mopar grille, hood decal, and even windshield tie-down straps.
Other Gladiator-specific accessories offered by Mopar include a spray-in bedliner, tonneau covers, and a truck bed storage system. There are also Mopar bed-mounted cross rails, off-road lights, and Beadlock wheels. All Mopar accessories will be backed by a factory warranty and created in conjunction with Jeep.
