When you see the 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe be sure to give it a yee haw and a howdy. According to Torque News, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe just dominated rivals to earn the title of Texas Off-Road SUV of the year and Texas Mid-Size SUV of the year. 

That means it won two categories! Micheal Satterfield, president of the Texas Motor Association, the Jeep Wrangler has always been an off-roading leader, and the 4xe continues this trend of blazing trails by offering a plug-in hybrid variant in off of the most capable off-roading vehicles ever made. 

The Wrangler Rubicon 4xe can tackle any trail but still provides enough electric range to cover the average driver’s daily commute. It offers the best of both worlds. 

What else makes the Wrangler 4xe great? 

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe was named the Best 4×4 during the 2022 Women’s World Car of the Year awards. The WWCOTY panel is made up of 56 motoring journalists from 40 different countries and five different continents. 

Vehicles are judged based on safety, driving performance, comfort, technology, design efficiency, environmental impact, and value. 

The 4xe is praised for its growing commitment to environmental stability, range, performance, capability, and open-air freedom. The 4xe is nearly silent, allowing those to connect with nature.

It dominated an eight-day race that spaces across 1,600 miles. The miles cover various terrain challenges such as rock climbing, driving over sand dunes, and conquering lake beds across Nevada and Southern California. 

Also, the 4xe dominated the bone stock category. That means it didn’t have any upgrades for the Rebelle Rally. It came straight from the factory and was able to dominate the race. 

Drivers have also proven that they want the Wrangler 4xe. It continues to be the best-selling plug-in hybrid model in America. In the first quarter of the year, it moved 8,3486 models. The Toyota RAV4 Prime only sold 5,233 units. 

2023 Wrangler 4xe: What’s new? 

The 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is primarily a carryover model. It will continue to offer up to 21 miles of electric range and an EPA-estimated 49 MPGe. 

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is paired with two electric motors and a battery pack to churn out 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. It has an instant acceleration and can reach 60 mph in about 6.8 seconds. 

For off-roading, it has skid plates to protect the battery and other crucial components. It has a 10.8-inch ground clearance and can ford water up to 31.5 inches deep. 

The Wrangler 4xe still feels brand new and continues to be unmatched. It could earn even more awards as rivals try to catch up.
