It looks like FCA designers may have been doing this before Elon Musk ever had the idea. In 2012, Jeep started putting Easter Eggs of their own into the Wrangler edition.

A video posted to the popular social media platform, TikTok, has recently gone viral, reaching more than 4 million views. The video has the Jeep community searching their vehicles inside and out, looking for clues. Thousands of people have been inspired to go on a “Jeepster Egg Hunt” of their own.

An amazing Jeep discovery found on TikTok

TikTok user, @jackiefoster40, posted a short video about a hidden Easter Egg he found on his Jeep. He claims that he knew every Jeep has a unique animal imprinted on their vehicle. Foster says he searched for quite some time until one day he was pumping gas and discovered his Easter Egg. There was an imprint of a large spider at the bottom of his fuel tank near the gas cap with the words “CIAO BABY!” written inside a talk bubble.

Other TikTok users have been quick to post videos of their own findings. Jeep owners around the country are reporting that they are finding more than animal imprints on their vehicles. The idea of Easter Eggs resurfaced in 2017, and ever since, imprints have been placed on Jeep vehicles in various locations. Owners with 2017 to 2020 models are having fun finding the hidden gems that are just waiting to be discovered.

Jeep Renegade owners have found a splash of orange on the odometer, which Jeep enthusiasts claim is a nod to paintball, a known favorite among the design team. The taillights and headlights on the Renegade are shaped to resemble the X-pattern found on military Jerry cans. There is also a 7-slot grill embedded on the exterior lights, rearview mirror, and center console change holder to represent the traditional Jeep front end. “TO NEW ADVENTURES!” is strategically imprinted below the push start button as a subtle hint of inspiration every time a driver starts up the engine.

Jeep Wrangler owners are having a debate to determine whether the decal on the back window of their vehicle is a Sasquatch, Big Foot, or just a man walking up a hill. Some say it’s a Yeti since it can be found on the Arctic Edition of the Wrangler.

The Jeep Compass has a cute little gecko on the front dash directly under the windshield wipers. There are also reports of a snake on the back window that some say resembles the Loch Ness Monster.

Consumer Reports is not a fan of the Jeep product line. Their overall rating for the 2020 Wrangler was a mere 26 points out of 100, claiming the Wrangler, “still doesn’t possess the reflexes and agility of a contemporary vehicle.” The 2020 Renegade and 2020 Gladiator came in at 48 points and 46 points, respectively. The 2020 Cherokee received an overall score of 52, while the 2020 Compass got a total of 51 points. The best-rated Jeep model was the 2020 Grand Cherokee, with an overall rating of 70 points.

Despite the poor ratings, owner satisfaction scores prove that Jeep owners love their vehicles. The publicity that Jeep is receiving right now may help boost 2020 sales. At the very least, people may be out scouring dealership lots to find the hidden Easter Eggs.
