There is a new Gator in town, and it serves as a tribute to military veterans. The John Deere Gator Edition features exterior looks with a military-inspired styled and several model upgrades. But these units will only be available for a limited time.

You can get started in the new John Deere Gator Honor Edition for $18,899. The cab configuration raises the price to about $25,999. But it includes heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
This special edition will be available for a limited time, but the timeframe hasn’t been specified. Pre-orders are open now, but there is no mention of a delivery time yet. You better get yours before they’re gone!
What comes with the Honor Edition?
The John Deere Gator Honor Edition features desert sand exterior panels and military-inspired graphics. A black star is placed on the sides and on the hood. The tailgate also has a black military badge.
With the Gator XUV835M Honor Edition, you get:
- Military-inspired model numbers, branding, and graphics
- Black alloy wheels with Maxis Bighorn 2.0 Extreme Terrain radial tires
- Black vinyl 40/60 split-bench seat
- Sports steering wheel
- Half doors with the open station model
- A black roof
- A stone headliner in the HVAC cab models
- A brush guard
- A deluxe cargo box with a spray-in liner, brake lights, and taillights
- A cargo box power lift
No mechanical upgrades have been added to this model. The Honor Edition uses the 812cc engine that provides 54 hp. The Gator can tow up to 2,000 lbs and carry a payload of up to 1,000 lbs. This weight configuration includes the driver and passengers as well as cargo.
All model-year 2022 full-size Gator Utility vehicles can be ordered with Predator Heavy Duty all-terrain radial tires. They provide additional shock absorption and an increased tread life while reducing ground pressure and terrain impact.

John Deere also offers the Career Skills Program in partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense Skillbridge program. It provides transitioning service members with the opportunity to match leadership and technical skills with jobs at John Deere.
The Skillbridge program assists servicemen and women begin their post-military careers by interning at the John Deere production facility or dealership during the last five months of their military commitment. They can also work in style with the Honor Edition.
