It might not be the most engaging vehicle to drive, but hey, it’s an SUV. 

KBB does point out that the 2023 Santa Fe is slightly smaller than some of its rivals. So, that is something to keep in mind with this SUV. Even so, that did not stop this Hyundai from winning accolades from the publication.

There are new fewer than 10 different Hyundai Santa Fe SUVs to pick from. It ranges from the base Santa Fe SE all the way up to the Santa Fe Limited PHEV. Because of that, there is likely a 2023 Santa Fe out there that will fit your needs. 

According to Car and Driver, the Hyundai Santa Fe that represents the best value is the SEL Premium Hybrid. This trim will get you a turbocharged 1.6-liter hybrid engine and a number of different features. It does have an MSRP of around $40k, so it might not fit with everyone’s budget. 

The hybrid engine definitely adds some much-needed pep to the SUV. And, you should experience better fuel economy. If the SEL Premium Hybrid is too expensive, there is always the Blue Hybrid trim.

If buying new isn’t for you, a used Santa Fe can represent a good value. The Santa Fe SUV has been around for some time. And that means that there are plenty of options to choose from. Not every used Santa Fe will have had the same life. So, always do your due diligence on checking things like service records. You should also research what potential recalls have been issued. 

And, of course, newer Santa Fe models will come with more features. Even if they have a higher price tag.
