Is Your Kia K5 Affected By Any Recalls?
One of the most heart-wrenching moments of owning a car is realizing that your vehicle is affected by an open recall. In many cases, the recall is a minor inconvenience, but there is a chance that the recall is a major repair. If you drive a Kia K5, you want to make sure you stay up to date with any recalls and get them taken care of in a timely manner.
Don’t worry about the potential for recalls because there is help available!
Open recalls for 2021 and 2022 Kia K5 models
If you wonder if there are any recalls on your current Kia K5, look at Cars.com, where there is a list of open recalls. Don’t be alarmed if you see some open recalls. Many of them can be taken care of quickly with help.
There are currently three different recalls presently open for the Kia K5, and each should be taken care of promptly.
- The first recall for the Kia K5 affects just 2021 models and was first reported in March of 2021. This recall is connected to the Occupant Classification and Detection System. This system may not detect a child’s seat in the front seat. In an accident, the airbag’s deployment could put the child at a higher risk for injury.
- The second recall was discovered in June of 2021. It is found solely in the 2021 and 2022 models equipped with the 2.5 T-GDI engine. The Rack-Mounted Motor-Driven Power Steering system may not diagnose any communication errors in these models. If that error happens while following a curve using the Lane Following Assist system, the system may not respond correctly. This fault can require more effort to steer the car, putting you at risk of an accidence.
- The final recall affects models equipped with the 2.5-liter turbocharged engine. This recall is related to a faulty connection between the fuel pump and the fuel rail. If left uncorrected can cause fuel to leak and put your car at risk of a fire.
While there aren’t many recalls on the Kia K5, these three are important to have handled. If you want to get them taken care of, reach out to your local Kia dealership. The staff will be more than happy to help!
