Kid Rock isn’t the first celebrity to flex with a Tesla Cybertruck. However, he is the first celebrity to give the Tesla Cybertruck a cringe mod. Jay-Z gave his Cybertruck an attractive black wrap, but Kid Rock went in a different direction. 

Kid Rock turns a Tesla Cybertruck into the General Lee 

While the General Lee is celebrated as a beloved muscle car of the South, Jalopnik reminds fans that it didn’t exactly age well because a confederate flag is painted on the roof. 

But Kid Rock is a known fan of the flag and has flown it at his show for years. Upon paying for a Tesla Cybertruck and providing a General Lee wrap, he didn’t add the confederate flag to the roof, saving a little grace. 

He rode in the back of the massive orange Cybertruck during the annual rodeo that he hosts. John Schneider who played Bo Duke was behind the wheel. 

This could be exciting for Dukes of Hazzard fans as the show went off the air 40 years ago but the General Lee is still a massive part of car culture. 

However, the original General Lee is a 1969 Dodge Charger. It’s a gas-guzzling muscle car for the dukes to use during their shenanigans. 

Wrapping an electric truck takes away from its heritage and glory. Why not make a new Dodge Charger into a General Lee?

Also, why not wait for the 2024 Dodge Charger to arrive? The Charger SIXPACK offers two engine variants. The Standard Output option cranks out 420 hp and the High Output engine provides 550 hp. 

Also, there is an electric Charger on the way with up to 670 hp, making it the world’s most powerful muscle car. But the Cyberbeast does have 834 hp. 

Still, it’s a truck, not a car. Maybe Kid Rock picked it because he could stand in the bed. However, most people are buying the Cybertruck to show off instead of using it for actual truck stuff. 

Owners have been complaining because when they travel somewhere they notice that people say the Cybertruck is ugly. Wrapping it in gaudy orange doesn’t help. 

Plus, it has so many issues! Parts fly off the Cybetruck on the highway, the frunk crushes fingers, the body is prone to rust, the accelerator gets stuck, water fires the electrical system, and it’s difficult to charge.
