The zany story of Jordan Belfort in the 1980s required a particular vehicle, like a white Lamborghini. To do that, a genuine 1988 Countach went under the knife, so to say. Belfort (portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio) drove the Countach while high as a kite on quaaludes. It started the scene in pristine condition as he crawled in the door of the supercar.

But by the end of the scene, the vehicle had seen better days. To make it realistic, producers decided that a real supercar would have to be “crashed.” The front end was smashed and crashed for the most part, but none of it made the vehicle structurally unsound.
