Recently, a guy in Adelaide, Australia, filmed the purchase of a 60th Anniversary Edition Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica. For 2024, the supercar starts at $249,865 but rises to the mid-high 300s depending on selected options. It has a 5.2L 10-cylinder engine (in “V” configuration) and a 7-speed automatic transmission making 640 hp. Due to its “inspired alignment” with the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 (its racecar sibling), the Tecnica gets from 0 to 60 in 3.2 seconds and its top speed hovers slightly over 200 mph.

The Adelaide buyer landed at a $570K price tag in Australian dollars, which converts to $383,473 in U.S. money. Let’s see what the automaker gifted him with the Huracán purchase.

Here’s what you get when you buy a new Lamborghini:

Spend half a mil with Lamborghini and you’ll get:

  • An embroidered, custom car cover fitted to your model, exactly
  • A model supercar mimicking just how you’ve optioned your very own Lambo
  • Service kit including branded work gloves
  • First aid kit
  • Trickle charger
  • Gift-boxed Lamborghini key
  • Glass cleaning kit

Alright, then, let’s get going on the response to the presentation. Comments lit up with, well, mostly criticism of the gifts. For example, the Service Kit includes a few SnapLights. You can buy these online for, like, a dollar-something each, sure.

Others asserted that the “gifts” aren’t a gift at all, considering the price you pay to receive them. Some brought up the “silly” idea of gift-wrapping the actual key to the car.

However, as you can imagine, a replacement Lambo key isn’t cheap, and this is allegedly a spare. Of course, if it’s the original, then it’s just a fancy way of presenting and commemorating the new vehicle. In years to come, the key box will add to its resale charm.

The trickle charger is a great gift, in my opinion. Indeed, most Lamborghini owners aren’t using their supercars as daily drivers. As such, being able to store them as long as they want and drive them on a whim via a gifted Lambo trickle charger is a thoughtful gesture, no?

And how perfect is the customized supercar miniature? Talk about a collector’s item. Hell, I’d love the work gloves included in the service kit, too.

To me, the naysayers are forgetting about the art of dedicated vehicle ownership, here. After all, this is a Lamborghini, for Pete’s sake. The reel’s comment section inspired me to explore what other high-end automakers present to their customers. If I find anything worth sharing, you’ll see it come up on my author page.
