Yes, the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor is coming to America. In fact, according to All Terrain Nation, a few models are already here. Someone from the Ford factory shared multiple images of the Ranger Raptor in production.
This is great if a few models are already being built in the United States because it could mean the new Ford Ranger is ready to debut. It’s expected to reach dealerships by the summer or fall.
We’re still waiting for the order books to open officially. The Regular Ranger could enter production by May, but other sources suggest it will enter production in July. Either way, we’re getting closer.
Also, the Ford Ranger Raptor looks out of place on the assembly line. It’s in front of tons of Ford Bronco models. This could mean that the assembly plant isn’t ready to make the switch between manufacturing the outgoing Ranger model to the new one.
What to expect with the 2024 Ranger Raptor
Based on what we can see, the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor is outfitted with a suspension lift and bereft all-terrain tires for off-roading. It also has a dual exhaust that could sound really nice.
If it’s like the Ford Bronco Raptor, then it may have a few different exhaust settings, such as quiet mode and sport mode.
The Bronco Raptor looks identical to the model we’ve seen in other countries. It could be a preproduction model that looks a bit different from the American version.
It pops with hints of orange trim and Raptor badging. Also, the rear brake light was moved from the tailgate to the cab. It’s sitting above a small power-rear window.
The interior matches other Raptor models with black upholstery and red accent stitching. You can even see a red stripe on the steering wheel. The updated 12.1-inch infotainment screen looks fresh and modern.
The Ford Ranger Raptor could be powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that’s featured in European models with 392 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. But it could also have 418 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque, like the Bronco Raptor.
Plus, the Ford Ranger Raptor could borrow suspension components from the Bronco Raptor, such as the live valve Fox shocks.
How much will the 2024 Ranger Raptor cost?
The official cost for the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor hasn’t been released, but it’s safe to expect a premium price. The regular 2024 Ranger is expected to start around $30,000, while the Wildtrak trim could increase the cost to $40,000.
This leaves room for the Ford Ranger Raptor to start at around $50,000. The 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro currently provides its stiffest competition, and it starts at $47,185. But the TRD Pro doesn’t offer more engine power.
