Currently, customer orders for the Maverick are paused, which does indicate a shortage of 20222 Ford Maverick models. Orders are expected to open up in August of 2022, but that will be for the 2023 model year. It is possible to find some Maverick models available at Ford dealerships, however, a Maverick typically lasts about four days on a dealership lot. 

At this point, the best bet to find an available Ford Maverick is to visit a dealership. But if you want to place a custom order to get exactly what you are looking for, waiting may be worth it.
