Lincoln is a luxury brand that makes some luxurious cars, but it has some tough competition from others, including Cadillac. While the Cadillac Escalade may have some cool and unique features, the Lincoln Navigator does offer a luxurious feature that Cadillac doesn’t in the Escalade. Here’s a look at the 2022 Lincoln Navigator’s luxury features and how they differ from the 2022 Cadillac Escalade.

Ford Authority wrote that the Navigator and the Escalade are rivals in the full-size luxury SUV segment. The Navigator has some luxury features that are missing from the Escalade. Lincoln gave the Navigator heated and ventilated seats on the first two rows as standard features, but Cadillac only gave the Escalade heated and ventilated seats on the first row. The second-row seats of the Cadillac are heated, but they lack ventilation.

Lincoln also offers an optional massage feature for the first two rows of seats. Once again, Cadillac offers something similar, but only for the first row. While these luxury features may not seem necessary for the average buyer, the Navigator and the Escalade are both expensive luxury SUVs, so these features will matter to customers who are buying them.

Furthermore, as Ford Authority wrote, ventilated seats can benefit folks who live in a hot and humid environment. This is because ventilated seats can help keep “sweat and dampness at bay.” And obviously, a massaging seat can provide a relaxing and comforting experience for anyone sitting in it. 

A look at the specs of the Navigator

The Navigator starts at about $77,000, and its top trims will push it into the six figures. The Lincoln only has one option on all trim levels right now in terms of engines. It’s a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, and it gets 440 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. This powerful engine allows the Navigator to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. 

That engine allows the Navigator to be sporty, but its true goal is to be a very luxurious SUV. It does just that with a well-made interior and many tech features. This Lincoln SUV has a 13.2-inch touch screen display as standard, and it also has an updated optional rear-seat entertainment system. According to Ford Authority, this optional system is called Lincoln Play, and it features two 10.1-inch screens mounted on the back of the front seat headrests.

How the 2022 Lincoln Navigator’s specs compare with the 2022 Cadillac Escalade

The Caddy, meanwhile, is priced similarly to the Lincoln. It starts at about $76,000, and the top trims also cost over $100,000. Unlike the Navigator, however, the Escalade has several engine options. The standard engine is a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. However, there’s also a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 diesel with 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. Soon, Cadillac will offer a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that’s even more powerful.

The Escalade’s interior is also luxurious in terms of amenities and tech, though it’s missing a few luxury features compared to the Navigator. The Cadillac has bigger screens than the Lincoln does in terms of tech. The Escalade comes with a 16.9-inch touch screen, and its optional rear-seat entertainment system has bigger screens. This optional feature adds two 12.6-inch touch screens to the back of the Caddy’s front seat headrests.
