When choosing a pickup truck, picking a reliable one is ideal. You can count on it to get the job done day in and day out. Also, a durable pickup is more likely to last many miles. However, the longest-lasting truck isn’t a Toyota, Chevy, or Ram. It’s the Ford F-350 Super Duty.

Toyota has long provided high-level pickup truck reliability with the Tacoma and Tundra. The Chevrolet Silverado and Ram Trucks lineup are durable, too. However, the longest-lasting truck isn’t from any of those brands. The Ford F-350 Super Duty achieved the top spot for longevity.

Earlier this year, iSeeCars revealed its annual Longest-Lasting Car study findings. The results show the Ford F-350 is the truck most likely to reach 250,000 miles. It has a 49.1% chance of hitting the 250K mark — more than four times the 11.8% average for all types of vehicles.

According to iSeeCars, this 10th-anniversary study examined more than 260 million vehicles sold between 2012 and 2022 to decide the likeliest models to notch high mileage on their odometers.

The next best truck for longevity is the Toyota Tundra, with a 47.9% chance of making it to 250,000 miles. That’s followed by the Ford F-250 (43.6%) and the Toyota Tacoma 41.7%.

Here are the longest-lasting trucks, with the highest chance of reaching 250,000 miles:

  1. Ford F-350 Super Duty: 49.1%
  2. Toyota Tundra: 47.9%
  3. Ford F-250 Super Duty: 43.6%
  4. Toyota Tacoma: 41.7%
  5. GMC Sierra 2500HD: 41.3%
  6. Chevy Silverado 2500HD: 41.2%
  7. Chevy Silverado 1500: 31.0%
  8. Chevy Avalanche: 26.7%
  9. Ram 2500: 26.3%
  10. Ram 3500: 24.3%

The totals are three models for Chevrolet, two for Ford, two for Toyota, two for Ram, and one for GMC. Along with being the longest-lasting truck, the F-350 tops iSeeCars’ longevity list for all model types. In 2023, it dethroned the Toyota Land Cruiser SUV (47.9%).

What’s new with the redesigned 2023 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

The 2023 Ford F-350 and other models in the Super Duty lineup debuted a redesign for this model year. It includes incorporating exterior styling elements from the smaller Ford F-150 and Maverick. There are also seven new grille options.

On the performance front, the longest-lasting truck offers a new 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel engine. Additionally, the 7.3-liter V8 boasts refined tuning and an upgraded air intake. Plus, a traction-enhancing four-wheel drive system now comes standard on XLT and higher trim levels.

Furthermore, the 2023 F-350 offers many new features. They include a customizable 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a smartphone wireless charger, a Wi-Fi hotspot, the Power Pro auxiliary power system, and Max-Recline front seats. Also new are advanced driver assists like a blind-spot information feature, a 360-degree trailer system, and trailer navigation. And for a high-quality listening experience, shoppers can upgrade to a Bang & Olufsen sound system with eight or 12 speakers.

Overall, the longest-lasting truck is the F-350, not a Chevy, Ram, or Toyota model. With the greatest chance of making it to a quarter of a million miles, this Blue Oval pickup lives up to the “Built Ford Tough” slogan.
