One automotive brand really goes the distance by dominating the list of trucks and SUVs that are the most likely to reach over 250,000 miles. You might expect a list of more diverse options, but Toyota trucks and SUVs can’t be caught.
Toyota trucks and SUVs are the most likely to reach 250,000 miles
According to the latest study by iSeeCars, Toyota trucks and SUVs are the most likely to surpass 250,000 miles.
An average vehicle has an 8.6% chance to make it to 250,000 miles or more and iSeeCars ranked the top 30 most reliable options.
The Toyota Tundra is the truck that’s most likely to surpass 250,000 miles with a 36.6% chance, which is 4.2 times more than the average. The Toyota Sequoia is the longest-lasting SUV with a 36.4% chance.
Then the Toyota 4Runner landed in third place with a 26.8% chance to surpass 250,000 miles and the Toyota Tacoma has a 26.7% chance. The Toughta Highlander Hybrid is in fifth place with a 25.9% chance.
Toyota trucks and SUVs take the top five spots! However, the Toyota Avalon, Toyota Camry, Toyota Highlander, and Toyota Prius are also in the top 30. Toyota is the longest-lasting brand with nine spots.
Honda is in second place with six models in the top 30, Ford has two, Ram has one, and Chevrolet has three.
iSeeCars analyzed about 402 million cars to see which options are the most likely to surpass 250,000 miles.
Karl Brauer iSeeCars Executive Analyst shared that modern vehicles are becoming more durable with 30 models offering between a 12 and 36% chance to reach a quarter million miles.
He continued to explain that many drivers think a car’s usable lifespan ends at 100,000 miles, but this study confirms that even 200,000 miles isn’t the end. The top nine cars on the list have over a 20$ chance to reach 250,000 miles.
