While 250 miles is more than enough range for the average daily driver, it could cause some range anxiety during trips. Also, it’s a bold move to release something that falls behind the competition.
The 250 range estimate is for the front-wheel drive bZ4X model. Going for the dual-motor all-wheel drive model could reduce the range. However, Toyota hasn’t released the specs for this model.
With the single-motor variant, you get 201 hp. By upgrading to the dual-motor model with AWD, you get 215 hp.
The Toyota bZ4X can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 7.7 seconds, which is average. While it isn’t a sports car, it has plenty of power to merge into traffic and pass others on the highway.
The Telsa Model Y can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.4 seconds, and the Ford Mustang Mach-E can reach 60 mph in 5.2 seconds. Also, both of these electric SUVs can tow up to 3,500 lbs.
