This Luxury SUV Only Has 1 Trim Level Available
The 2022 Acura RDX is an SUV that is so incredible, that Acura doesn’t even give you the option to upgrade it. Why would you need to, when the base model 2022 RDX has everything that you need? That doesn’t mean you can’t customize the RDX. There are plenty of packages that you can add on to the RDX to make it your own, but you won’t have to sort through multiple trim levels to sort out what you want – and what you can afford. Here’s the gist of the one trim level the 2022 Acura RDX offers, and how much it will cost you.
How much does the 2022 Acura RDX cost?
The 2022 Acura RDX price starts at $41,145 for the base model. Unlike other SUVs which offer various trim levels to choose from, the Acura RDX only has one trim level, and then you can add on packages. There are five packages, according to Edmunds: Technology, A-Spec Technology, Advance, A-Spec Advance, and PMC Edition. While this may seem confusing at first – don’t you usually have to choose which version you want? – it actually makes car shopping easier. Each of these packages include a variety of features that make customizing your RDX easy – and limits how much extra stuff that you don’t need you end up with.
The 2022 Acura RDX has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 272 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. This is matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The RDX comes standard with front-wheel-drive though all-wheel is available for the base model and the Technology packages. All-wheel-drive comes standard on the Advance packages and the PMC Edition.
Even the base model is loaded with features
No matter which packages you add on to your RDX, you’ll get adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitor, and lane-keeping assist. The base model 2022 Acura RDX comes with loads of features, like a panoramic sunroof, keyless entry and ignition, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The base model also has heated front seats, simulated leather, and a 10.2-inch central display. It even has a 9-speaker sound system and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Up the trim level ladder is the Technology, which includes leather upholstery, a navigation system, acoustically-insulated front windows, and a wireless charging pad. It also includes a 12-speaker ambient sound system, interior ambient lighting, and front and rear parking sensors.
The A-Spec Technology package ups things with 20-inch wheels, foglights, ventilated front seats, and leather and simulated suede upholstery. It even throws in a 16-speaker sound system.
The PMC Edition combines everything from the Advance and A-Spec Advance levels
The 2022 Acura RDX Advance package includes adaptive suspension dampers, a remote ignition, and power-folding mirrors. It also has acoustically insulated rear windows, wood cabin trim, and a heated steering wheel. The Advance Package also includes ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a head-up display. It has the same 16-speaker sound system as the A-Spec Technology and a surround-view camera. The A-Spec Advance has everything in the Advance package plus the sporty styling of the A-Spec Technology SUV.
There’s also a 2022 Acura RDX PMC Edition. At $55,295, the PMC Edition has everything that’s in the Advance package, yet it’s distinctive. It has an exclusive paint color, special interior stitching, and a gloss black finish for the wheels, grille, side mirrors, and exhaust.
The 2022 Acura RDX has one simple trim level, making it easy to shop for one. And its five straightforward packages allow you to add exactly what you need to your SUV, without forcing you to pay for unnecessary add-ons that you don’t. This is one of the reasons that the RDX is so popular.
