Luxury Vehicles That Perfectly Balance Acceleration and Fuel Economy
Owning a luxury car might just seem like a status symbol to some people, but there are plenty of benefits they provide. There are a lot of reasons that luxury cars can be, well, luxurious, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t come with sacrifice. Luxury cars are typically known for being comfortable but that doesn’t mean that they are also exciting to drive. If you care about balancing something as important as fuel economy and luxury, but you don’t want to sacrifice a fun driving experience, these are your best options.
The first options are pretty obvious: Tesla
Tesla as a company is known for its innovation, and whether you love the idea of electric cars or not, the brand’s cars to offer some pretty cool quirks and features. From hidden easter eggs that let you turn the car into a Christmas light show to the vehicle’s futuristic designs, there are plenty of reasons why you might have your eye on the Tesla Model 3 or Model S 100D. Because they are electric, they are a great option for saving money on gas, but they are also surprisingly sporty and responsive.
BMW options
When making their list, Consumer Reports added a few options for the lower-model priced options. The X1 xDrive28i and X2xDrive28i are compact yet attractive options for a vehicle that is practical but also gets a responsible fuel economy. As you would expect from a car with quite a bit of racing heritage, these SUVs are surprisingly quick and responsive and combined with the luxury suspension and interior they are a pretty good all-around option.
The forgotten option with good fuel economy
If you want something that’s a little bit different but not as unreasonably priced as a Lamborghini Urus, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Ti is the forgotten option. The aggressive front end makes this fuel-efficient vehicle look sporty and exotic, and that’s far from the best thing about it. Like the rest of the luxury options on this list, the Stelvio Ti does well to balance an enjoyable driving and handling experience with a very reasonable fuel economy.
There are a surprisingly great amount of options for combing luxury, fuel economy, and a pleasant acceleration and driving experience. While these aren’t the only options that have made the list, these are some of the more affordable and enticing options.
