After constant issues with this Mercedes AMG GT 63 S sedan and the Mercedes dealer he bought it from, a Russian man burns it down he’s so mad at the dealership. And this is the second time a Russian owner has taken out his frustrations on an AMG GT 63. You might remember late last year a similarly mad owner dropped his AMG GT 63 from a helicopter he was so mad. And some of those same reasons were the cause for this latest assault on an AMG GT 63.

Mikhail Litvin is a vlogger in Russia according to ЛИТВИН. His AMG coupe was reliably breaking down from the time he got it. Litivn says the dealer refused to do any work to fix the issues. He took the car to the dealer five times. Either the dealer technicians would find reasons not to work on it or the dealer would have it for a week or two without doing any work to fix the car. 

Litvin wanted a dramatic end to his AMG GT 63 to show the dealer how frustrated he was. He chose to take it to a grassy field and dramatically torch it before hopping into a ZAZ to head home. After being up for only a day the video of his dramatic gesture has been viewed over six million times so far. 

“I think the idea is FIRE! That’s it… The End”

Here’s the conclusion of Litvin’s thoughts on his Mercedes, “I’m have been thinking for a long time what to do with my Shark after the conflict with Mercedes. I think the idea is FIRE! That’s it… The End. I’m not a happy man.” We feel your pain, Mikhail. We really do.

Being a vlogger puts into question whether this exercise is real or just a publicity stunt? Of course, there are other questions like what’s going on with AMG GT 63 S models-at least those in Russia? In the US these models sell for north of $140,000. With options it can go as high as $200,000. We would think that anyone plunking down that kind of dough would be treated like a king at a dealership?

JD Power gives the 2020 AMG GT a rating of 3.5 out of five for reliability. With all-wheel-drive, twin-turbos, a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission, heated armrests, and even an air purification and fragrance system, this is a complex vehicle. That can mean lots of things to go wrong. In our pal Litvin’s case, we have no idea what the issues were that the Mercedes dealership couldn’t handle. 

While calling these AMG GT sedan models excessive is an understatement, it might be worth noting a few things. First, these weigh over 4,500 lbs. Its combined mileage is 17 mpg. While that’s not great keep in mind the top speed is almost 200 mph. Its 0-60 time is 3.1 seconds with 664 lb-ft of torque. Now, tell us this isn’t excessive.
