Mattel Tesla Cybertruck Toy: 3,000 Pieces and Cracked Window
The Tesla Cybertruck is a one-of-a-kind truck. Along with its electric powertrain, it has a design that’s futuristic, dystopian, and looks like a large triangle. The Cybertruck, with its production delays, won’t be available for customers this year. However, its toy counterpart, the Mattel Mega Tesla Cybertruck, has a release date before Christmas.
Mattel Mega Tesla Cybertruck toy with ‘Lego-like’ bricks
With its unusual design, you know that sooner or later, there would be a Lego version of the Tesla Cybertruck. Mega, which is Mattel’s version of Lego, created a toy Cybertruck with 3,283 pieces that you put together yourself. Sold for ages 14 and up, the Cybertruck toy has a height-adjustable suspension, a folding tailgate with hideaway ramp, a functional tonneau cover, folding seats, poseable wheels, a vault floor, and four hinged doors that open and close.
The designers at Mattel Mega paid close attention to detail for the Cybertruck toy. It has intricate styling, the iconic exoskeleton design, a replicated interior, armor glass windows, and tablet and cup accessories.
Cybertruck toy cracked windows: The same as the original
During the debut of the Tesla Cybertruck in 2019, Elon Musk tried to demonstrate the vehicle’s shatterproof armor glass windows. However, that demonstration infamously failed. Franz von Holzhuasen, Tesla’s chief designer, threw a metal ball at the front window and smashed it. Musk said, “Maybe that was a little hard.” He then instructed Holzhuasen to throw a metal ball at the rear window. Holzhuasen complied and smashed the rear window as well.
Mattel Mega pays homage to the botched Cybertruck debut with the cracked windows for the Cybertruck toy. As a testament to its high level of detail, the cracked windows are at the exact location as the real Cybertruck during the demonstration. Also, as Mattel Mega describes it, there are many “Easter eggs” that you will uncover as you put the “Lego-like” pieces of the Cybertruck toy together.
“It is a one-of-a-kind building experience that culminates in an iconic, display-worthy model of the new Cybertruck that only Mega can give you. Inspired by the original designs from Tesla’s upcoming release, we created a Mega X Cybertruck you can build brick by brick and customize to reveal different hidden features that can only be discovered while you build it.”

Mattel Mega Tesla Cybertruck toy release date and price
The Mattel Mega Tesla Cybertruck toy costs $250. It went on sale on October 15, 2021. Mattel will ship the Cybertruck toy to customers on or before December 8, 2021. Demand for the Cybertruck toy is likely very high, and it may even sell out. Because of this, Mattel Mega has a limit of two Cybertruck toys per person.
In addition to the Cybertruck toy, Mattel created toy versions of other Tesla models. It offers many diecast versions of Tesla cars, and there are radio-controlled Cybertrucks available as well. Also, when Elon Musk sent a Tesla Roadster into space, he placed a Hot Wheels version of the car on the dashboard.
