Matthew McConaughey and Lincoln Were a Match Made in Heaven
You’ve probably seen a few weird car commercials. For example, when Matthew McConaughey smiles while driving a Lincoln SUV and says a few things in a low voice, it can just be confusing. But he has been a Lincoln supporter for years.
Does Matthew McConaughey drive a Lincoln?
Yes, Matthew McConaughy does drive a Lincoln and has been a fan of the automotive brand for years. His loyalty is strong, even outside of the strange commercials.
When asked if he drives a Lincoln SUV, Matthew explains that it’s the only brand he drives. Even before he started doing commercials, he drove Lincoln vehicles. When people see him and they mention that he’s driving a Lincoln he proudly says, “You’re damn right, I do!”
He was a proud owner before he partnered with Lincoln back in 2014. The commercials quickly became popular with parodies from Saturday Night Live and Family Guy. Unfortunately, he stopped doing the commercials in 2019, but there’s always to possibility of a comeback.
Despite no longer being in the commercials, Matthew speaks fondly of his time with Lincoln. He explained that the relationship was wonderful and it worked out to where he became synonymous with Lincoln.
Lincoln also became synonymous with Lincoln, which is a sign of a great relationship, when an ambassador or face can become synonymous with the brand and vice versa.
He enjoys Lincoln vehicles because they are luxurious and practical. They don’t have too many bells and whistles so he can relax and focus on driving. He doesn’t enjoy it when cars do too many things for him.
But Lincolns aren’t literally the only cars he drives. He has a GMC Yukon with seating for up to nine passengers for his family including his wife and three children. He also has a 2016 Lincoln MKZ, but its specifics are unknown.
The 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is an interesting classic model in his collection with V8 power. Sometimes he takes his 1981 Chevrolet Camaro for a spin as well.
He also has a custom Airstream RV that he lived in for four years. While he has modest vehicles compared to other celebrities, his love for Lincoln is unmatched.
