The full track measures 12.944 miles long, and the stopwatch starts and ends at the same point in Turn 13. The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S accomplished the feat with a lap time of 7 minutes and 27.800 seconds. 

This success at the Nürburgring isn’t new for Schaffert or Mercedes-AMG. He previously drove the 2018 GT 63 S to a then-record lap time of 7 minutes and 30.110 seconds, according to the Nürburgring’s official website. However, a German rival recently shattered that mark. The 2021 Porsche Panamera Turbo S, which received a massive power boost this year, delivered a lap time of 7 minutes and 29.810 seconds on September 24, 2020.

The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S is a masterpiece in motion

AMG-crafted vehicles are a thing of beauty, and there have been many Mercedes-AMG classics throughout the years. The 2021 GT 63 S is no exception.
