Mercedes Benz Wants Your Children
Starting kids as young as possible in Mercedes Benz culture begins with their first set of wheels. We’re talking baby strollers, but not just your typical ones. These ride on aluminum frames and ergonomic seats. Would you expect anything less from Mercedes?
Mercedes Benz Strollers include an AMG model
Along with German baby stroller makers Hartan, Mercedes has released three new models. They’re called Avantgarde, Performance, and AMG GT. These have suspensions, alloy wheels, and a five-point harness with a magnetic buckle. They even come in five coordinated colors.
The Avantgarde and Performance prams use certified organic cotton upholstery in their interiors. Seats have been designed for both stability and maneuverability. Your wild child will find plenty of room to move squirm while remaining safe in the cocoon of luxury.
Mercedes Benz strollers come with a five-point harness
For the AMG GT stroller, there is a Silver Arrow theme throughout that honors Mercedes’ legendary race cars. It is painted in alpine grey and features the five-point harness, height-adjustable handle, a handbrake, and reflectors. The trick alloy cross-spoke wheels are designed by AMG, and are lockable and swivel, too. You can also get it with an AMG seat cover in black with red stitching. The AMG GT model collapses to just 27x23x12-inches for lightweight and convenient storage. A reversible seat unit is also part of the package.
With the Avantgarde model, you get a choice of five colors. There is “Magmagrey,” “Steel,” a cream color called “Opalith,” classic brown “Tartufo,” and “Denimblue.” The chassis is color-matched and features a double fold-out sun visor.
Vegan Leatherette is just one of the Mercedes Benz stroller materials
The Performance model goes for the modern look with great new features. A reversible seat also reclines, and the handle can be easily pushed aside for quicker access to the baby. A shopping basket and organizer bag are included. This is the only one of the three models that come upholstered in Vegan Leatherette.
All three models come with a “Bag2Go” for keeping phones, keys, wallets, bottles, and more that just clips onto the handle. Future plans include a line of accessories matching each of the models. They’ll include a folding carrycot, diaper-changing bags, backpacks, windbreaks, and footmuffs. It’s a completely stylish package, but what else would you expect from Mercedes?
Will these be coming to the US?
Right now the Avantgarde and AMG GT are only available in Europe. The Performance model will come around mid-2022. We would expect that they’ll make their way here through some rather exclusive outlets catering to fashionable parents. Not that all parents in the US aren’t fashionable. But exclusivity comes with a price.
That said, in Europe, the strollers go for $1,200; while the prams are a bit more at around $1,800. Expect to pay more in the US, or if you can’t find a source here you can contact Hartan UK. Oh, and congratulations on your new baby!
