Miami, Florida, is a hotbed of car culture. As such, it is a great place for car enthusiasts to get together with like-minded car-passioned people as part of a car club. So, it should not be surprising to learn that there is a new car club that formed in the area. But, what is surprising is what this one car club offers with its car enthusiast membership, a world-class, modern facility, and its own race track. This ultra-exclusive car club is also pricey.

The car club is called, The Concours Club. It is connected to Miami Opa Locka executive airport and consequently can offer an “arrive and drive” luxury hospitality experience for anyone of its ultra-high-end members. The club is basically a resort for car enthusiasts.

The race track for the car enthusiast

The race track was designed by Alan Wilson, an award-winning track designer. It is over two miles long and can be configured in seven different ways. It has FIA-approved Tecpro barriers, catch fencing, and specially engineered asphalt formulated for improved grip. Finally, it has reflective airport paint for boundary markings.

Race marshalling

The entire course is marshalled digitally. Advanced automotive flagging software is used in observance of what goes on at the track. A telemetry system tracks the position of every single car and immediately throws up cautions if it detects any vehicle that has not kept it between the lines.

Driver training for the car enthusiast

The car club also provides driver training. But, the instructors do not ride with the driver. Instead, to avoid changing the weight balance of the car, instructors provide insight remotely, via a control room. It is much like an organized race series that allows radio communication between the driver and pit crew.

The car club’s amenities

According to Boss Hunting

“Of course, the niceties only get more lavish the further you navigate away from the racetrack. In terms of dining, one may feast on a menu designed by renowned chef, Brad Kilgore, who is responsible for such fine establishments as Kaido, Alter, and Ember restaurants. Or perhaps it’s just a bit of champagne you’re after, in which case guests are more than welcome to indulge as your ride is also being treated on-site.”

Membership fees

All of this excellence comes with a price, of course. Prospective members must submit an application. If accepted, the initiation fee is $150,000. The dues are $35,000 per year. The car club is looking to fill 200 membership positions. Over 60 have already been approved. According to Forbes, events at the Concourse Club facilities with Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche are being ironed out, though not set in stone yet.

This resort-like heaven for wealthy car enthusiasts and their guests sounds dreamy. This car club provides a place to house meaningful cars, a place to track those cars, and places to retreat to that one can be pampered. Although membership is pricey, it might be just what the serenity doctor ordered.
