The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid can travel for about 12 more miles on a full tank of gas. The CR-V Hybrid has incredible driving range. Best of all, it isn’t much more expensive than the gas CR-V. The hybrid ($33,695) costs $2,585 more than the gas CR-V ($31,110).

According to Car and Driver, Honda’s CR-V Hybrid makes 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. It can tow 1,000 pounds. The small SUV won’t be towing any cars, but it’s still the most powerful CR-V Hybrid yet. The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid is great for small families that regularly take road trips. It’s a fuel sipper that’s engaging enough for most drivers. Honda’s small hybrid SUV will compete with some of the best small hybrid SUVs like the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, and Kia Sportage Hybrid.

Is the Honda CR-V Hybrid reliable?

The Honda CR-V Hybrid hasn’t had any major mechanical issues yet. The nameplate is still very young, but CR-V Hybrids have proven themselves to be reliable thus far.

Honda CR-Vs are some of the most reliable small SUVs on the market, so their hybrid counterparts shouldn’t be especially problematic. If CR-V Hybrids are as reliable as CR-Vs, then the small SUVs will become extremely popular over time.

The price gap between gas and hybrid vehicles is closing. Consumers will begin to see hybrids as alternatives to gas models rather than entirely different vehicles from a pricing standpoint. There’s no reason to assume that a hybrid vehicle would be any less reliable than a gas vehicle.
