We know that the Chevrolet Silverado EV brings a significant advantage to the table, with more range. However, if you want to increase the range on your 2024 Chevy Silverado EV, then you might need to prepare your wallet. 

How much range does the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV have?

The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV has a General Motor’s estimated range of up to 400 miles. According to Electrek, this figure may change depending on real-world testing. But that number is pretty exciting, as it blows past the Ford F-150 Lightning’s 320-mile range. 

Also, don’t get too excited yet. This amount of range will be offered with the Chevy Silverado EV WT (Work Truck), meaning it might not come standard. The Silverado EV WT starts at $39,900, plus the destination fee. 

This would be great if it provided 400 miles of range, but to achieve that number, you’ll have to upgrade to the 24-module battery pack. It’s currently unclear what the Work Truck’s standard battery pack and range are. 

You can get started in the Chevy Silverado EV RST First Edition for about $105,000 plus the destination fee. It will also be offered with the 24-module battery pack, its longest-range battery. The smaller battery has an undisclosed price and range. 

What comes with the Silverado EV WT? 

Even if the 2024 Chevy Silverado WT EV doesn’t have a standard 400-mile range, it still provides plenty of excellent features. For example, it comes with standard all-wheel drive and front and rear motors. 

This base model cranks out 510 hp and 625 lb-ft of torque. It will be able to tow up to 8,000 lbs and carry a payload of up to 1,200 lbs. It will have a steel suspension with standard dampers for an excellent performance both on and off the pavement. Also, the WT will ride on 19-inch wheels. 

The front truck or eTrunk is a lockable, weatherproof compartment in the front of the truck. Also, the midgate extends the amount of room in the bed. You can fold the rear seats down and open the door to store larger items. 

With the larger battery, you can charge your truck at 350-kWh, adding about 100 miles of charge in about 10 minutes. 

What comes with the Silverado EV RST?

The Chevy Silverado EV RST takes things to the next level with a dual-motor system that cranks out 664 hp and 780 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds. 

It can tow up to 10,000 lbs and carry a payload of up to 1,300 lbs. The Chevrolet Silverado EV is available with 10 outlets to charge items at camp and worksites. The 240-volt outlet provides 10.2-kWh and will charge other electric vehicles. 

The RST will ride on 24-inch wheels with an adaptive air suspension that can raise or lower the truck by two inches. Plus, the trailering-capable Super Cruise hands-free system allows drivers to travel without holding the wheel on over 200,000 miles of compatible roads. 

There will be trims between the Chevy Silverado EV WT and RST trims, but we’re still waiting for more details. We will keep you updated as more information about pricing and ranges roll out.
