The most American-made pickup truck is the Honda Ridgeline
Surprise! The most American-made Pickup truck isn’t from an American brand like Ford or Chevrolet. It’s actually the Japanese Honda Ridgeline.
You can thank Cars for providing a list of the most American-made vehicles in 2024. The list is based on assembly location, parts content, engine origin, transmission origin, and United States manufacturing workforce. Over 400 vehicles were analyzed for the top 100 spots.
The Honda Ridgeline is the sixth vehicle on the list and the Tesla Model Y claims the top spot. The next most American-made truck is the Jeep Gladiator, which is very patriotic. However, Jeep is owned by Stellantis, which is European.
You’ll find the Stellanits-owned Ram 1500 Classic in the 19th spot and the Chevy Colorado landed in 23rd place.
The Ford F-150 is in 56th place and the F-150 Hybrid is 75th on the list. Finally, the Chevy Silverado 1500 shows up in 89th place, But, shockingly, the regular F-150 isn’t in the top 100.
The Honda Ridgeline is made in Lincoln, Alabama. It’s Honda’s largest light truck production facility in the world. It’s also the sole manufacturer of the Pilot, Odyssey, and Passport. The V6 engines are produced there as well.
Speaking of engines, the Ridgeline has a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and comes with standard AWD. When properly equipped, the Ridgeline can tow up to 5,000 lbs.
Along with being the most American-made pickup truck, the Honda Ridgeline is often considered to be the best mid-size truck by various critics.
It’s praised for having SUV-like handling, the most comfortable ride quality, a quiet interior, a spacious rear seat, intuitive tech, and a practical 5-foot-4-inch bed.
