When it comes to pickup trucks, finding an American-made truck can be hard to track down. These are some of the best trucks on the market that have the most American parts, according to the Kogod School of Business 2021 Made in America Auto Index. This includes parts from Canada, too. Since many 2022 pickup trucks are not out yet, this list is made up of 2021 trucks that the Center for Automotive Research has verified.
The Ford Ranger is one of the most American trucks for 2022
The Kogod School of Business Made in America Auto Index has the Ford Ranger at 45% American and Canadian parts. This is called the total domestic content (TDC). The 2021 Ford Ranger is a midsize pickup truck that is similar to the Ford F-150 truck, but not quite. The Ranger is a pretty proficient pickup truck with a turbo powertrain standard getting 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. In 2020, the Ranger topped the Kogod list with 70% of American-made parts, but that dropped down to 45% for 2021.

The Toyota Tundra is an American truck from a Japanese brand
It is no secret that people love the 2021 Toyota Tundra pickup truck. The Made in America Auto Index has the Tundra at 65% American and Canadian parts, which is a pretty significant amount. 2021 was the last year before a major redesign, so this number might significantly differ for the 2022 Tundra. The Honda Ridgeline has the highest percentage of American-made parts
The 2021 Honda Ridgeline is a truck with SUV-like features, thanks to the Honda Pilot SUV lending its body to it. The unibody construction allows the truck to perform like an SUV but has the benefits of a truck bed and towing. The Ridgeline also has a locking under-bed “trunk” for safekeeping. Made in Alabama, the Ridgeline truck is actually 70% American-made, the highest of all trucks on this list. While Honda makes a lot of vehicles in America, it is a Japanese company at the end of the day. It still made the list of American pickup trucks!

The twin trucks, the GMC Canyon (Gas) and Chevrolet Colorado (Gas)
The 2021 GMC Canyon (Gas) and Chevrolet Colorado (Gas) are identical, so the percentages here apply to both trucks. The Canyon truck offers more luxury on the interior, namely with the Denali trim offerings. This truck is 60% North American parts, making it one of the most American trucks this year.
The Chevrolet Colorado gas model is the more American option, but a turbo-diesel option is available. Coming in at 60% North American supplied parts, these two trucks are at the top of the list.
