It’s time to hear from the people about the Nissan Rogue. Owners of the 2020 Nissan Rogue have provided feedback about what life is like with this popular SUV. It turns out there are plenty of great things to say, but there are a few negatives to consider as well.

First of all, we would like to clarify that we like the 2020 Nissan Rogue. It serves as a worthy rival to the Toyota Rav4. But it becomes difficult to ignore how actual owners feel about their SUVs.

Cars.com compiled a list of rants and raves about the Nissan Rogue to help buyers determine if going for a used model is worth it. The 2021 Rogue recently had a redesign, so you might find a good deal on a previous model year.

What makes drivers rant about the 2020 Rogue

One issue with the 2020 Nissan Rogue is that the engine seems to be a little noisy and lacks sufficient power. It comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that Cars.com has tied in last place for the powertrain category among compact SUVs.

The engine provides 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 9.4 seconds. This speed is below average, but it’s adequate. Owners complained that the acceleration hesitates and the engine provides more noise than power.

Owners are also disappointed by the Rogue’s fuel economy. It should get an EPA-estimated 26 mpg in the city and up to 33 mpg on the highway. Owners shared that even while using the Eco mode, they only average about 23 mpg.

One owner can only get about 24 mpg on the highway, and another driver shared that they get about 19 mpg in the city. If you’re interested in a used Nissan Rogue, you can opt for the hybrid model.

Also, owners of the Rogue rant about visibility problems. Drivers shared that there are massive blind spots while turning, and cars in front of them will disappear due to the front column and mirror.

What makes drivers love the Nissan Rogue?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue issues listed above don’t seem like dealbreakers. Also, owners do love their Rogue models. One of the best aspects includes how comfortable it is.

Owners shared that the Rogue has large, comfortable seats with plenty of padding and lumbar support for long trips. The Rogue also provides a smooth ride and responsive handling.

The 2017 Rogue also gained tech updates that drivers love. Blindspot warning is favored because it helps people with the, you guessed it, blind spots. One owner shared that it’s saved them from two potential accidents.

Other tech features that owners love include the heated seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an automatic liftgate, remote state, rear-cross traffic alert, automatic rear braking, and rear parking sensors.

Owners also gushed about the Nissan Rogue’s cargo space. The Divide-N-Hide cargo feature allows drivers to organize their cargo and keep their valuables out of sight. One driver loved storing emergency items under the cargo floor.

While there are some features to rant about, the Nissan Rogue also has plenty of features to love. The MSRP for a 2020 model is $25,490. If you find a good deal on a used model, give it a chance!
