Those aren’t even the only reasons the Tesla Model Y was able to earn such high marks. According to Consumer Reports, owners of the Model Y were also extremely pleased with the compact SUV’s acceleration, handling, and overall ride. Its stylish exterior certainly helped boost its score too.

Subaru makes two of the most satisfying compact SUVs

Now, if you’re not ready to jump into a Tesla Model Y, there are plenty of other satisfying compact SUVs to choose from. And among them? You’ll find both the Subaru Forester and the Subaru Crosstrek. According to Consumer Reports, both models earned a four out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating, which is pretty impressive. Both compact SUVs earned some fairly high marks in terms of reliability too. 

The Mazda CX-30 and the Mazda CX-5 are compact SUVs that aim to satisfy

Subaru wasn’t the only automaker with two compact SUVs on the list. Consumer Reports also recognized the Mazda CX-30 and the Mazda CX-5 as some of the most satisfying compact SUVs. According to Consumer Reports, the Mazda CX-30 earned a four out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating. Consumer Reports gave the Mazda CX-5 a similar rating. However, it’s the CX-5 that earned the higher overall score. So if you find yourself struggling to choose between these two compact SUVs, the CX-5 might just be the better option.

Pamper yourself with one of the most satisfying luxury compact SUVs

Say you’re looking to treat yourself. If that’s the case, Consumer Reports’ data shows that there are several luxury compact SUVs worth your consideration. Take, for example, the Lexus UX, which Consumer Reports gave a four out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating. According to Consumer Reports, the vehicle’s acceleration, handling, and comfortable interior are what helped it earn such a high score. 

And if the Lexus UX isn’t the right choice for you? Consider the Porsche Macan, which earned a four out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating and an 84 overall score in Consumer Reports’ road tests. As for other satisfying luxury compact SUVs? Consumer Reports suggests checking out models like the Lincoln Corsair, Volvo XC40, Mini Cooper Countryman, and the BMW X3.
