Fortunately, Consumer Reports has the inside scoop on the most satisfying new midsize SUVs. So if you want to like your next SUV? You might want to check out these models first. 

These models topped the list as the most satisfying two-row midsize SUVs

According to Consumer Reports, the 2021 Subaru Outback is the most satisfying two-row midsize SUV. It earned a four out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating, which is impressive. Consumer Reports says that owners will be most satisfied with the two-row midsize SUV’s comfort, styling, and driving experience. According to Consumer Reports, owners of the Outback have been so satisfied that 80% of them would even rebuy the SUV.

But was the 2021 Subaru Outback the only two-row midsize SUV included in Consumer Reports’ list? Not even close. With a four out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating, the 2021 BMW X5 was also able to make the cut. Consumer Reports added, “Our top-rated luxury midsized SUV, the X5 is one of the best vehicles we’ve ever tested.”

Other luxury SUVs that landed on Consumer Reports’ list of the most satisfying new two-row midsize SUVs included the 2021 Lexus RX, Audi e-Tron, Porsche Cayenne, and the Lincoln Nautilus. 

The 2021 Jeep Wrangler is a satisfying midsize SUV, but it’s not the most reliable

According to Consumer Reports, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler is among the most satisfying midsize SUVs. This year’s model earned a four out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating. Owners told Consumer Reports they were most satisfied with the Wrangler’s exterior and interior styling.

Unfortunately, there are some drawbacks worth considering. Consumer Reports gave the 2021 Jeep Wrangler a two out of five predicted reliability rating, which could be a deal-breaker for some. However, keep in mind that both J.D. Power and Repair Pal gave this year’s Wrangler a much higher reliability rating.

If you’d prefer to steer clear of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler? Consider the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee instead. Consumer Reports gave this year’s Grand Cherokee a similar owner satisfaction rating. It also gave this year’s model a slightly higher reliability rating. 

The 2021 Kia Telluride is the most satisfying three-row midsize SUV

This one really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. The 2021 Kia Telluride has earned some pretty high marks from Consumer Reports. In fact, Consumer Reports not only gave the 2021 Kia Telluride a five out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating, making it the most satisfying three-row midsize SUV, but it also gave this year’s model a 97 overall score.

But what is it about the Kia Telluride that has folks so enamored with it? According to Consumer Reports, owners of the Telluride have been most satisfied with the three-row midsize SUV’s comfort, styling, and overall driving experience. An impressive 91% of owners surveyed said they would buy the SUV again too.

Consumer Reports says these are the most satisfying three-row midsize SUVs

If the 2021 Kia Telluride isn’t quite your style, there are several other satisfying three-row midsize SUVs worth considering. Take, for example, the 2021 Lincoln Aviator and the 2021 Tesla Model X. Consumer Reports gave both of these three-row SUVs a five out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating.

Consumer Reports also included the 2021 Hyundai Palisade, 2021 Toyota Highlander, and the 2021 Toyota 4Runner among its list of the most satisfying three-row midsize SUVs. Each of these models earned a four out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating. 

The 2021 Mazda CX-9, the 2021 Subaru Ascent, and the 2021 Chevy Traverse earned a four out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating too. However, while Consumer Reports recommends the 2021 Mazda CX-9, it doesn’t recommend the Subaru Ascent or the Chevy Traverse.
