However, this noise isn’t all good news for the American automaker, and it may let down fans of the Trailblazer nameplate. Sure, the all-new Chevrolet Trailblazer speaks volumes with its bold design. Inside the cabin, it’s a different story, as the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer will have you plugging your ears.

MotorTrend detailed the experience of driving the 2021 Trailblazer over uneven road, noting, “Every bit of noise generated by those bumps rings loud and clear inside the vehicle.”

Don’t expect a serene driving experience when you get behind the wheel of this subcompact SUV. Unfortunately, the all-new 2021 Chevy Trailblazer allows too much of the outside noises into the cabin.

Thankfully, Chevrolet added several features that’ll help drivers battle this noise problem. For instance, the 2021 Trailblazer offers available wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto – as opposed to the typical wired version most vehicles utilize. These smartphone mirroring systems allow you to access and use compatible mobile apps via the SUV’s touchscreen display. 

This allows you to crank up the tunes by way of your favorite streaming service and blast them through the Trailblazer’s available eight-speaker Bose sound system. Chevrolet puts a cherry on top by offering available wireless device charging so you can keep your phone at full battery. You’re going to need it.

The Trailblazer’s design deserves applause

After years of only rolling out the forgettable Trax as its only subcompact SUV, Chevy added a more flavorful option. The 2021 Chevy Trailblazer may not be critically acclaimed, but it’s a head-turner.

The Trailblazer resembles the larger Chevy Blazer, nearly copying and pasting the grille and headlights. Then, it incorporates youthful styling ques found in other boxy small SUVs like the Hyundai Venue and Kia Soul with available two-tone exterior paint options.

As buyers would expect, Chevrolet adds aesthetic and utility upgrades in higher trims. For instance, LT models gain roof rails and provide access to a panoramic sunroof and a hands-free liftgate via the optional packages. The adventure-driver Activ trim affords you synthetic leather upholstery, a skid plate, and off-road suspension tuning. Finally, the top-of-the-line RS trim adds two-tone cloth and synthetic leather upholstery, exterior black accents, and 18-inch wheels.

Opening-night blues

The all-new Chevy Trailblazer is off to a rough start. Critics such as MotorTrend have taken issue with the vehicle’s performance as well as its noisy interior. However, there’s still hope on the horizon. The 2021 Chevy Trailblazer is making noise in the automotive world – and not just because of its turbulence on the road. 

Chevrolet has simply found a way to spark more interest with this subcompact SUV than it has with the smaller Trax. Whether that’s just because of the history behind the original Trailblazer is yet to be determined. 

The 2021 Chevy Trailblazer already has an eye-catching design. If Chevrolet can shore up the SUV’s noise problems and give it a performance boost, then the Trailblazer may become a hit once again.
