How Much Does a Fully Loaded 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Cost?
The 2023 Hyundai Tucson is one of the most popular SUVs on the market, and one of its best versions is its hybrid option. The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid has many advantages over the regular Tucson, but drivers who choose the hybrid SUV may not be satisfied with only the standard version of the car. Here’s a look at the 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid and how much drivers should expect to pay for a fully loaded version.
Here is a brief overview of the 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid’s trims
Currently, Hyundai offers three trims on the Tucson Hybrid. The base/standard trim is called the Blue trim, starting at just over $31,000. Then there’s the SEL Convenience which goes for $34,000. Finally, the top trim is the Limited, starting at about $39,000. No matter what, each SUV gets the same hybrid powertrain.
Every trim has a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that works with an electric motor to get a combined 226 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. While they all have the same powertrain, their fuel economies differ slightly. This is because the SEL Convenience and Limited trims weigh about 100 pounds more and have bigger 19-inch wheels. As a result, they get 37 mpg combined compared to the standard trim’s 38 mpg combined.
How much does a fully loaded 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid cost?
The 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited trim’s $39,000 price is justified by its extensive array of interior features. This is especially true if car shoppers add all the options the South Korean automaker offers. For example, heated front and rear seats are standard on the top trim, as is leather upholstery. Hyundai also gave it a 10.25-inch touchscreen, which is a few inches bigger than the standard 8-inch inclusion.
On top of that, the Limited trim’s 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster display is much bigger than the standard 4.2-inch display. Other luxury features, such as a heated steering wheel, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a premium sound system, come standard on the top trim. Shoppers who want more can spend $450 for the Serenity White paint job.
Hyundai currently offers a dozen accessories for the Tucson Hybrid. The most expensive option is the $365 Winter Weather Package. That pack adds interior floor liners and mudguards to the rear of the car. The $205 Cargo Package adds features like a cargo net and a cargo tray to the SUV. When all those bells and whistles are added up, a fully loaded Tucson Hybrid can cost over $42,500.
The most expensive trim option may not be the best one for this Hyundai SUV
While the Limited trim and those accessories add a lot to the Hyundai SUV, most car shoppers interested in a hybrid car probably aren’t interested in all those extra features. Most drivers who get a hybrid do it because of its fuel economy. Since there are no tangible differences between the Tucson Hybrid’s trims in that regard, most drivers will do fine with just the base trim.
That’s because the base trim is very similar to the other trims in most ways that the average driver cares about. The base Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Blue has a long list of smart safety features, and most are on the top trims as well. In fact, in terms of regular safety features, all three trims have the same ones. Their cargo capacities are also the same, as they all max out at 74.5 cu. ft. of space.
