How Much Does a Fully Loaded 2024 BMW 5 Series Cost?

In addition to the marque’s renowned gasoline engines, a new all-electric setup offers clean, efficient performance. Additionally, with Highway Assistant, drivers can cruise hands-free, and there’s plenty more to get excited about.
Set to hit dealer lots in October 2023; the 2024 BMW 5 Series is initially available in two trims: the 530i and 530i xDrive. Even in base trim, the 5’s a winner. Later, BMW’s set to release additional variants like the electric i5 and the legendary M5.
If you’re a BMW enthusiast, you may want your new 5 Series as soon as it hits the lot. That’s understandable. Additionally, loading your 5 with options makes it even better. So, how much will that cost?
What’s new with the 5 Series German sports sedan
With the 5 Series sports sedan, BMW’s got a good thing going. With sporty dynamics and comfortable luxury, the legendary model is exciting and usable. Additionally, with classic good looks, the 5 Series is striking yet understated. It’s a time-tested formula.
For the 2024 model year, BMW updated the 5 Series in several areas. Bodywork, powerplants, infotainment—you name it—are new and improved for a better experience.
Outside, the German sports sedan sports larger dimensions. According to Motor1, the new 5 Series is 3.4 inches longer (199.2) and 1.3 inches wider (74.8). Also significant is an extended wheelbase, growing 0.8 inches to 117.9. Additionally, with a 0.23 drag coefficient, the 5 Series is streamlined and efficient while creating a long and lean look, with strong creases and a modern fascia.
Under the hood, BMW gives 5 Series buyers plenty of options. Upon release, the 5 Series is available with a turbo 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder and a turbo 3.0 six-cylinder. The four makes 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, and the six offers 375 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque. Either provides plenty of thrust and efficiency.
However, the 5 Series has also expanded its repertoire, with several exciting options in the queue.
For the first time, there’s an electric BMW 5 Series. The i5 has two trims: the rear-wheel drive eDrive 40 and the all-wheel drive M60 xDrive. Both offer classic BMW dynamics. The eDrive 40’s single electric motor makes 335 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque (in “Sport Boost” mode) and hits 60 mph in 5.7 seconds. The M60 xDrive rockets to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, courtesy of dual motors combining for 592 hp and 549 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a PHEV version on the way, though details for the 2024 model year aren’t out yet.
Inside, the new 5 Series sports a total redesign. BMW’s latest iDrive 8.5 infotainment system offers enhanced usability with its QuickSelect home screen shortcuts. A 14.9-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch driver’s display provide a high-tech look and essential functionality.

How much is a fully loaded 2024 BMW 5 Series?
The gas-powered BMW 5 Series currently comes in two trim levels: the $57,900 530i and the $60,200 530i xDrive. After selecting the xDrive for its versatile AWD, we added all the bells and whistles. Here’s what they cost.
Selecting the $3,000 M Sport packages adds performance hardware and track-ready style. Notable features include 19-inch M double-spoke wheels, M Sport suspension, and Shadowline exterior trim.
For a sophisticated matte finish, we added Frozen Deep Grey paint ($3,600). Combined with the blue brake calipers, it creates a motorsport-inspired look.
Extended Merino leather takes luxury to the max. Not only that, but it looks amazing in Silverstone II Atlas Grey. For $2,450, it seemed like a worthy addition.
To personalize the interior, we opted for special trimming. BMW Individual fine wood open pore with silver/bronze inlay and accent ($600) was just right.
The $4,550 Executive package brings upscale amenities like remote engine start, a head-up display, and glass controls.
To haul our 5 Series down from speed, the $1,050 M-Sport Professional package brought M-Sport brakes.
Lastly, the $2,500 Driving Assistance Professional package added vital safety and hands-free driving.
At $77,850, a fully loaded 2024 BMW 5 Series isn’t cheap. However, you get what you pay for. With peerless engineering and an innovative design, the 5 Series sports sedan ticks the boxes for enthusiasts and commuters alike. Its understated style looks cool on the road.
