How Much Does a Fully Loaded 2024 Land Rover Discovery Cost?
The 2024 Land Rover Discovery is somewhat unique compared to the rest of the Land Rover lineup, as it’s designed to be a more traditional luxury SUV rather than a rugged off-roading SUV. As a result, the Discovery is a solid option for luxury car shoppers who just want a nice, luxury car, and Land Rover has many options available for it. Here’s a look at what drivers can expect to pay for a 2024 Land Rover Discovery and a fully loaded version of the luxury SUV.
This is what the standard 2024 Land Rover Discovery costs
The standard 2024 Land Rover Discovery trim is the S trim, starting at about $60,000. It has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. This allows the midsize SUV to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.9 seconds. The SUV tops out at 125 mph. It’s not very fuel efficient, though, as it only allows the Discovery to get about 21 mpg combined.
All-wheel drive is standard, and Land Rover also gave the model an electronic air suspension system. The Discovery has three rows of seats as standard, allowing it to seat up to seven people. Leather upholstery is also standard, as are heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a tri-zone automatic climate control system.
Tech-wise, the luxury automaker gave each Discovery an 11.4-inch touchscreen as standard. It’s compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless phone charging is standard too. It also has a long list of smart safety features, including forward collision warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control.
The 2024 Land Rover Discovery has an expensive top trim
The 2024 Land Rover Discovery’s top trim is called the Metropolitan, starting at just over $79,000. One of the main reasons for that nearly $20,000 price increase is what’s under the hood. The midsize luxury SUV comes with a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine, and it has mild-hybrid technology. This powertrain gets 355 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.2 seconds.
Despite the extra power, this six-cylinder engine is slightly more efficient than the standard engine as it gets 22 mpg combined. Furthermore, the top trim upgrades a lot about the SUV’s interior. For example, the cabin has more leather upholstery, and the rear and third-row seats are heated. It also gets a quad-zone automatic climate control system, an air purification system, and a head-up display.
Accessories and other options for the Discovery
As with any other automaker, Land Rover offers many options and packages for the 2024 model year Discovery. On the outside, the company has several paint options that cost around $800 each. There are also wheel options that go for $650. As far as packages go, Land Rover currently offers a dozen packages, though many of them are minor in scope. For instance, the $75 Emergency Pack is just a basic first aid kit and some supplies.
One of the more expensive packages is the Equestrian Pack, which adds features meant for horse owners, such as a portable rinse system. The $1,900 Advanced Off-Road Capability pack improves the SUV’s off-roading capabilities with features like an active rear-locking differential. Land Rover has a few accessories too, such as $450 black roof rails. In total, a fully loaded Discovery can cost upwards of $101,000.
