How Much Does a Fully Loaded 2024 Lexus LS Cost?
The Lexus LS is the Japanese luxury brand’s flagship sedan. The biggest and priciest Lexus car is now in its fifth generation and was one of the first Lexus models when the brand launched for the 1990 model year. The LS was the car that showed that Lexus was serious about taking on established German luxury brands. Now in its current form, the Lexus LS is still an outstanding luxury car and a value-conscious alternative to European rivals.
So, what does the 2024 Lexus LS offer its audience, and how much can buyers expect to pay for a fully loaded example? However, we’ll specifically be looking at the non-hybrid versions of the Lexus LS, with an examination of the LS Hybrid saved for a later date.
The 2024 Lexus LS 500 entry-level trim
The 2024 Lexus LS has a starting MSRP of $79,335. That’s for the base LS 500 with RWD. Power for the LS 500 comes from a 3.4-liter turbocharged V6 engine, rated at 416 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough for a quick 0-60 mph time of 4.6 seconds. According to EPA estimates, the LS 500 returns up to 22 combined mpg with RWD and 21 mpg with the available AWD system (a $3,250 option).
Standard features in the LS 500 include an adaptive variable suspension system, an adaptive front lighting system with LED headlights, a power sunroof, a hands-free power trunk, 19-inch wheels, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a wireless charging pad, and a power rear sunshade.
The standard infotainment system in the LS has a 12.3-inch screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 12-speaker audio system. Other standard tech features include a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a head-up display, six USB ports, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 safety tech suite bundles many driver assistance features. It has automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and traffic sign assist.
There are a few small but notable updates for the 2024 model year. The Luxury and Executive Packages now have a wood and leather-trimmed heated steering wheel. There’s also a new Silver Illusion paint option and new wheel designs.
What’s included in the 2024 Lexus LS 500 F Sport?
When shopping for a non-hybrid powertrain, only one trim of the 2024 Lexus LS is above the base LS 500. It’s the LS 500 F Sport, and it starts at $83,475. Adding AWD brings the starting price of the F Sport model to $85,925.
In addition to the standard features in the LS 500, the F Sport trim adds a sporty appearance package with 20-inch wheels, upgraded brakes, and suspension, an F SPORT perforated leather-trimmed interior with an Ultrasuede headliner, aluminum pedals, and performance-inspired instrumentation.
Accessories and add-ons for the LS large luxury car
Every Lexus LS is well-equipped, but this luxury sedan can get even nicer with options. Surprisingly, the base trim is more expensive when fully loaded than the F Sport trim. That’s because more expensive options for the LS 500 aren’t available in the F Sport guise.
An Interior Upgrade Package for $4,940 does what its name implies and adds semi-aniline leather upholstery, massaging front seats, heated rear seats, and fancier interior trim. There’s also a Luxury Package and Executive Package, making the interior even classier, especially for the rear-seat occupants. The Executive Package with Kiriko Glass adds hand-pleated interior door trim and Kiriko glass to the door panels.
A Cold Weather Package adds a windshield wiper de-icer, a fast-response interior heater, and headlamp washers. Adding the Cold Weather Package to the Luxury or Executive package further adds a four-zone “Climate Concierge” with climate-controlled front and rear seats.
The F Sport trim becomes more of a sport sedan with the optional Dynamic Handling Package for $5,000. It adds four-wheel steering, an adaptive variable air suspension system, and a panoramic view monitor. The F Sport trim is also available with the Cold Weather Package and the upgraded safety tech.
When you add as many options as possible to the Lexus LS, it can go up to around the $120k mark. That’s not cheap, but a loaded LS is a car to be driven in more than it is to drive yourself. If you’ll be the one in the driver’s seat, we’d recommend the F Sport model. If your chauffeur is driving, sitting in the back of a loaded LS 500 with the Executive Package is like flying first class.
